I was surprised that the atmosphere was so flat yesterday. Was it just me? I was discussing it with a mate and we reckoned it was the expectation of being letdown that possibly led to it. Years of following Morton and it almost becomes ingrained in your psyche.

There's nothing wrong with the turnstiles, the problem is there's only 4 of them. We simply need a couple more. What WAS a disgrace was the fact there was no delay to the game til everyone got in. £22 to see an hour of football. Sort it out.

Think we'd all take that but let's hope we batter them.
With both sides doing well and the bigot brothers not playing, I can see a right good crowd tomorrow. Weather looks good too and the club have done well to market it. If its above 3119 it will be our highest crowd in 6 years since St Mirren in Jan 2018( 4126)
I think we'll comfortably beat 3119 tomorrow, looking forward to it.

It’s not me who’s doing the digging!
In any case I’ve just remembered my Dutch Project Manager’s name at both companies. Hopefully he’ll have a better recollection of the dates.Don't think anyone really cares. You're clearly a complete fantasist.

One man who hasn't really been mentioned is Kirk Broadfoot. He's been an integral part of our turnaround and deserves an enormous amount of credit from the likes of myself who had basically written him off. Loved his exuberance yesterday. Even at 39 he's still game as you'll get. Well played Kirk.

I found the training very difficult as it was based on 7-a-side games of two-touch then one touch then one header etc. The guys I was playing with had been doing this from a very young age and I struggled to keep up. The coach Robbie Rensenbrink kept shouting at me that I was f***ing it up. The best thing I took from it was how the players from all age groups were integrated into the club as equals. After training we all went to the club house from all the different pitches and had a drink together, fruit juice for the youngsters and a beer for us. I didn’t detect any different treatment being applied to individual players based on which level or age group they were at. Everyone was afforded the same training facilities and the opportunity to go wherever it took them in their careers. In my case they never told me at any point that I was going to be released. I had to go and tell my coach that I would never be able to reach the standard of one and two touch football that my fellow players already possessed. Therefore I told them I was leaving before they told me, whenever that was going to happen.
That’s probably where I’ve got my bugbear about how development players are integrated to the club set-up and treated as equals.
The closest you've been to Holland (never mind Den Haag) was buying tulips from Murrays up the Port.

When was the last time we scored a hatrick back to back?
I've a funny feeling Dave McCabe may have done it but I've no interest in checking.

Just because he's been the best of a bad lot lately doesn't make me think we should sign him permanently. Its a no from me.

Who gives a shit about a full stop tbh. It's not something I'd even have noticed.

Getting rid of McGregor was a mistake
I'm starting to think getting rid of Strapp was not
Likewise. He seems very bitter.

Obviously he wouldn't.....I just said some might think that. But persisting with Broadfoot, never mind signing him in the first place, is grounds for gross misconduct. And despite his dismal performances this season he still starts today. Credit where its due though, today was a decent point.
You're like a woman scorned.

It'd be nice to hear some detail as to what improvements are being made to the infrastructure of the club so we can draw our own conclusions as to why there's little money for players. We're in danger of undoing a lot of the good work that's went on over the past couple of years the way things are currently unravelling.

Efe was by and large rotten for us and no more than a gimmick after an initial decent few games. His performance at Celtic was atrocious. Let's not pretend otherwise.

I was disappointed to read in the Tele that Dougie reckons Airdrie can offer players more than us this season. Think we have maybe lost out on someone to them.
Surely not. Considering our healthy balance sheet and the fact our crowds are much bigger this is hard to fathom.
Steven Boyd. Can't say I even remember him.

I think Newton is still alive and kicking in Oz. Don’t know if he’s still on here in some shaper or form.
He must be some age by now.

I’d forgotten all about his time at Brechin, apologies to LT.
I'm the opposite, forgot he was ever at Berwick. I'll grudgingly accept your apology.

The progression of Blues somewhat vindicates Hopkins decision to sign him. A decision that was largely ridiculed by not only ourselves but Brechin fans. So fair play to him for obviously spotting a player in him.

Not changed my opinion since he played for us. He was dung before and he's dung now.
I forgot how much you hated him

An upgrade on ACON winner Efe Ambrose? Kilday was torn apart at Cappielow recently and in the play offs. He may be younger/fitter than Ambrose but he's absolutely not an upgrade, by any stretch of the imagination.
I'd much rather kept Ambrose on even as 4th choice player/coach and look to bring in a versatile younger player as 3rd choice.
I'm talking about their merits here and now and imo Kilday is currently a better option than Ambrose.
-
Rumour doing the rounds that Lee Kilday could be coming back. I've no issue with that tbh as he's an upgrade on Ambrose.

An unfortunate phrase to use, considering the reason he's reviled.
McGinty is my most hated Morton player ever by a considerable distance. He knows exactly what he did and he should legitimately have spent time in prison for it along with a lifelong ban from working in football in any capacity.
What crime?

Tidser is 33 so a season or two at most out him but it'd never happen anyway for several reasons.

Never thought I'd be saying this but as soon as I clear some personal debts I'll be signing up. I had little faith in the fan ownership model but MCT are proving me wrong after an indifferent start. Well done to all involved.

Will Sewell, a player I thought we should maybe have taken a punt on has returned to Largs Thistle from Stenny after being frustrated at lack of game time.

Waters is a more than adequate left back but Strapp is a level above and he seems to have a presence about him that rubs off on his team mates. Delighted he's staying.
