Former fans’ favourite Robert “Bobby†Barr opened the scoring for Lowland League heavyweights East Stirling in their 4-0 swording of hapless Edinburgh University at some League One bus shelter that doubles as their home ground.
Mark Millar and Nicky Low also scored.
Good quality players with proper cvs.
Sort of players we should be signing surely.

Pledged today at the open day. Was told I would receive an email link within next day or two to set up DD. All explained clearly in a couple of mins.
Got home, checked email and link had been sent. Set up with zero fuss.

Bye bye Kilmarnock!
-
Not really.
Close to home for him. They will be serious top 4 contenders. A chance for him to get a full season under his belt at a level he should cope with. Also a chance to gain a place in the hall of fame by denying Failkirk promotion!!
-
Did really well, was comfortable on the ball had nice touches and did a few key passes
Good stuff. Hope he does well!!

How did Jack do?Was an interesting game QP have a big back 3
-
Nicky Jamieson, Creag Little and Jack Purdue all start for QP as they draw 0-0 with Hamilton at NDP winning on pens.
Little ad Jamie's on appear to be part of a back 3.
-
They have no strikers apart from brophy.
Kiltie came 9n for Dom Thomas. Aye that Dom Thomas. Thomas got 75 mins and kiltie 15.
All the goals came in the last 15 mins though...

Yeah, myself included (not the Junior Cup Final part!!!).
Aye Largs are basically Morton's forgotten men at this point
More clubs than Arnold Palmer did you not?!!
-
Taylor played for St Andrews for years where his dad was a coach then Rangers then Killie. Rangers and Killie had tonnes of Greenockians at that time, even more than St Mirren.
Interestingly, around the time Morgan left Rangers was when John Laird was trying to set up a Youth System at the Ton but failed totally. There were a lot of players at Morton who left at this point who are now scattered around the lower leagues/Juniors
A number of them around your age per chance?
Can think of a number who lost out due to the failure of our system and also Rangers.
A couple playing in the junior Cup final tomorrow!!
-
Nah good lads. Ken their fathers.
Also good guys.
Local Inverclyde football players in known by morton fans shocker.

Sad that Morgan and Taylor never played for Morton youth.
Two fine talents who could have brought in revenue to the club or maybe the difference between playoff failure or winners.
Am sure both boys were with First Touch. Morgan was with Rangers. Not sure if Taylor was ever there or went straight to Killie. Killie took some of the areas best talent for a fair few years.
Both good lads who deserve there success. Hard work, dedication, good attitude etc etc.

I have to say I haven't seen much of Palmer playing for Wednesday this season. I assume you have as that's quite a statement given that Jack hasn't played there this season, as far as I am aware.
-
Morgan and Taylor both from Gourock.
Can't actually think who Ryan Jack would get picked in front of. Apart from those selected, he is behind John Fleck amongst others.
Halliday? Nah.
No Rangers players eligible.
-
Just watched it, he did not cause the goal. He showed him down the line, limiting the shooting opportunity. McLean runs in unmarked at the back post to score.
He then went on to play a pivotal role in the new year Derby which was a full 6 weeks after the semi final.
Not sure why you thought he was finished when he left us.
-
Surprised but pleased to hear he managed to regain his fitness, as I thought he looked finished with us. We actually still played him when he was carrying an injury. The sight of him slowly limping after McGinn in the league cup semi-final causing their second goal still makes me wince with embarrassment
Sorry, you think he caused the second goal?
-
Stuart Findlay called up to the Scotland squad.
Morton appear to have won a free kick within shooting distance...
-
Did he not play for Newcastle in the FA Cup?
Am sure he played against someone like man City.
Could be wrong.
My killie supporting mate says he is an absolute class act.
I would suggest that he would not struggle were he to move to English championship now.
He has over 100 first team games under his belt now. To suggest he can't cut it due to not really breaking into the Newcastle first team having been signed as an under 23 is pretty short sighted.

Player coach!
-
Jai Quitongo’s being let go by Thistle after being offered a contract just last week, allegedly, has also totally binned his Twitter. Apparently been a bit of an arse.
Noticed mention of that on pie and bovril after similar chat about Jack Storer.
What's Jai been up to?
-
Can't seem to be able to load the article.
Basically the club is a basket case due to German owners who think they know tactics, hence being on their 5th manager in 2 years.
-
Interesting piece in WSC from Bradford City fan perspective.
Either Hopkin did no due diligence on the club he was joining it was desperate for the gig.
Refers to his preferred direct playing style!
-
He looks so much more comfortable in a back 3 than he has this season at rulught back or right centre back in a 4.

Aye, it was pretty poor in hindsight!
Time of post may tell the reason!! ðŸ˜
