Dylan Corr tweeted yesterday that he's had a successful operation on his shoulder and that he'll be 'Back kicking a ball soon'. I'm no medical expert but would think it will be around mid December before he's ready for first team action.

Usually in a sling for minimum 6 weeks and then a gradual build up to return to sport. Surgery has a really high success rate though and he’s a young lad so definitely “could” be back within 12 weeks if all goes well. Keeping fingers crossed his rehab goes well, it can be a tricky process once they start integrating contact. Looking forward to him getting a run in the team.

  2. Struggling to understand the reasoning behind not having some form of merch stall open at that today. Shocked at how stupid that is. How many folk attended? A few hundred people in the building and they can’t spend their money!

Dale has went from judge him by his actions and what he gets done a few updates ago to it’s been challenging and not much is happening so things seem to be at a bit of a standstill behind the scenes.

Didn’t get that at all from that video as he said they have made progress on something like 75% of the pillars in the 3 year strategy he wants to be judged on? Mentioned it near the end of the video.

Disappointing there won’t be progress on the land front as huge potential there.

  4. Think there was huge potential with O’Connor but there was probably an element of him not being fancied as much as the other centre halves. He seemed to be the one that would drop out onto the bench. Thought he looked more than decent at RB earlier in the season too which was frustrating when French was continually playing ahead of him.

If he is replaced by someone better that would be ideal and Broadfoot comes in as back up. Dreaming of Ricki Lamie & Liam Grimshaw after the chat on here!

I'm not comfortable going into the season with Murdoch as our backup keeper. Still young, small and untested. The fact we played an injured Mcdonald for a couple of games over him when Mullen was out says that Dougie knows he's not ready either. Doesnt need to be someone similar to Mullen but at least have a few development/first team games under his belt at a half decent level.

Mullen is clear number 1 but has had a couple of injuries during his short career to date, we need a decent backup should it happen again.

Im sure at the Q&A in the Lighthouse Dougie mentioned Murdoch and O’Boy will probably go out on loan this season.

  6. Dougie’s confirmed at the Q&A a few weeks ago that he wants more pace in the team and particularly at the top end of the park. So it’s exciting to see what the team will set up like come the start of the season. Better budget than before and I’ve got faith that Dougie will pull something out the bag again and replace Robbie. A change in players and system sounds good to me.

Why is that? Its still early days for Spudgun* here.  He hasn't really done anything.

    * for all younger folk, see below:

We need to see if he delivers on the early promise shown here, and the jury is out on that obviously. Sorting turnstiles would be a decent start for many, and as mentioned before Motherwell will be the indicator for that.

I don’t remember Hawke/Donaldson or whoever else speaking as positively, giving insight and appearing to genuinely plan for the future. He talks about everyone pulling in the same direction, good people in the building and being on the same page so hopefully we see that come together and we get some progression come the end of the season and we make the playoffs.

  8. It’s just annoying we can’t seem to get these little things right. Feels like a step back to the Morton of old when things were extremely amateur.

Can’t say I’m overly fussed by much of the merch either, will undoubtedly end up with a mug or a towel at Christmas though. All feels a bit thrown together.
