  1. Actually, if you'd bothered to check the previous page, you'd have noticed that I'd been listening to The Doves and The Cocteau Twins.
  2. I Love You. Years of Refusal. Edit to add, Not in the pervy way Ryan, just the fact that you have fantastic musical taste and Seasick, Yet Still Docked is one of my favourite Morrissey tracks.
  3. The Doves - Pounding, might go and see them in Edinburgh.
  4. Morrissey - Certain People I Know / You're The One For Me Fatty / Seasick, Yet Still Docked.
  5. Bit dissapointed you never asked for my thoughts Ryan. If you're interested, I think it may well be Morrisseys' strongest solo album to date, I don't think there is a weak track on the whole album. Particularly impressed by, Something is squeezing my skull, When last I spoke to Carol, One day goodbye will be farewell, You were good in your time. Morrissey - "Bona Drag"
  6. Yes. Fave track - One day goodbye will be farewell. Not a bad track on it.
  7. Rubber underwear for you at the Barras then ????
  8. Just think of how good your night would have been if you had come to "Sunny" Grangemouth.
  9. , Was thinking about it mate, but, with the missus out I indulged, though I could have picked almost anything. As soon as you texted me the second song I knew which album it was. Mon The Moz.
  10. Mrs. central on a night out, so tonight I've listened to selected tracks from, The Smiths - The World Won't Listen, Morrissey - Vauxhall and I, The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow, The Smiths - The Smiths, Morrissey - Years of Refusal, and Billy Bragg - Levi Stubbs' Tears, Walk Away Renee and Sexuality.
  11. If he plays that at the Barras, will you be able to contain yerself? Wish I was going now. According to morrisseysworld.com, he is being interviewed by Zane Lowe, Monday 16th of Feb, on MTV2.
  12. Great song Ryan, as many Smiths b-sides were (12" version of The Boy With The Thorn....) I've always felt that the reason that there were (are) so many Smiths compilation albums is because, the quality of the b-sides were so good that they deserved more recognition. Back then ( christ I'm old ) there was nothing like "youtube" where you could just type in the name of a band and have access to a huge back catalogue, you actually had to go out and buy records, take them home and savour them. I am very fortunate to have been there at the start and to have all the original albums and almost all the singles in vinyl form. "But don't forget the songs That made you cry And the ones that saved your life" The last line there, having obviously spawned the book of the same name. Favourite album is always going to be "The Smiths", I take a wee fancy to each of the albums from time to time, including the compilations, but am constantly drawn back to this one. It's really a nostalgia thing for me, spent an overnight coach trip down to London in '84 with my girlfriend ( not Mrs. centralTON) and listened to it the whole way down on my new "Sony Walkman" which, btw was feckin enormous.
  13. Was listening to that earlier Ryan, well was listening to all of "Meat Is Murder"
  14. Buzzc***s - Another Music In A Different Kitchen.
  15. Japan - Rhodesia, Swing, My New Career, Methods of Dance, Still Life in Mobile Homes, Cantonese Boy. David Sylvian - Pulling Punches, When The Poets Dreamed of Angels, Orpheus, Red Guitar, Mother and Child, September, The Boy With the Gun. Sylvian / Sakamoto - Forbidden Colours.
  16. Magazine - Shot By Both Sides, A Song From Under The Floorboards & Rhythm Of Cruelty
  17. Morrissey - One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell.
  18. The White Lies - "To Lose My Life", good album, real 80's feel about it, but, just not getting the Joy Division comparisons, except maybe the ending of "Fifty On Our Foreheads" There are songs on it, that could easily trace their roots back to, The Teardrop Explodes, Blancmange, B. Movie, Hard-Fi or The Editors.
