  1. Most of their optimism centred around how they ended last season. That optimism has been gradually chipped away by their uninspiring recruitment and the injuries they are picking up.
  2. Seems a strange decision so early in the window - would have thought he'd have held out a bit for a team higher up the food chain but then, decision making isn't his strong point and the decision to knock us back continues to prove a foolish one. Many said at the time that he'd be unlikely to ever reach a full time deal at that level again and his trajectory since seems to vindicate that position. (Ok, Monti dropped down before bouncing back up before disappearing again) but that's not the norm. Liked Stef when he was here and he scored some good goals for us, none more memorable than the aforementioned one at Ibrox. Whether it was bad advice or what, he does seem to have made an arse of it though.
  3. He did seem to come onto a game in the final weeks of the season (too little too late for Raith). If he can build on that, then maybe. He's never been prolific at this level though.
  4. Thought Dunfermline would challenge next season but they seem to have aspirations of emulating Raith's season from this year.
  5. None of whom should be in our squad, listed as attackers next season.
  6. Neither are anywhere near the level we are aspiring to. '4th choice' 'decent option' - not what we should be looking at. We have a good nucleus. We should be looking for improvements on current starters, not squad padding.
  7. If there's even a sniff of a chance (who knows, he may still be effectively registered to us as a player) then it should be explored.
  8. I see Chris Millar signed a new 1 year deal at St Johnstone with a promised Testimonial.
  9. Clyde's desperation to avoid relegation to oblivion sees them throwing more money around. David Goodwillie also signed.
  10. He is. Hoping to make his full debut.
  11. Looks like Craig Reid might be going to Ayr.
  12. As they say, rats desert a sinking ship. Jason Naismith signs a pre-contract agreement with Ross County.
  13. The weird thing was how we conspired to sign him twice when he was a forgettable nomark.
  14. Brian Graham scores for Ross County.
  15. But it's Steve. He might have just meant 'Dougie out' like normal.
  16. I think he might have meant 'East Fife must have an ex-Ton manager in charge as that is the only logical explanation for them signing Tony Wallace.'
  17. The talk of Clyde was 'if they win the playoff'. The failed miserably like the 2 bob joke outfit they are.
  18. Mr 'can't be arsed, won't really bother, don't want to be here so shouldn't have came in the first place' Barrie McKay called up to the Scotland squad. He has had a decent season to be fair but still.
  19. Sir Tony Wallace. We... Paid a fee...
  20. The Daily Record were bigging him up - gave him MOTM and said Ricky Sbragia should be looking at him for the Scotland U21s because he 'could do a job'.
  21. 'Advisor'? BBC reporting it as Assistant Manager. Rumours was it was to be Kenny McDowall... Panic buttons. Unwilling to admit it hasn't worked/pay off Murray? How long before that changes and Murray is out and Miller is given the gig?
  22. We played FinnPa at Cappielow not MyPa. We also got Jani Uotinen from MyPa.
  23. So not used to the new league naming system. On first reading, that came across as England's Championship, so potentially Premiership. He was good, but not that good!
  24. Brilliant bit of trivia. Takes the sickener away from the fact that we are at our best for a long long time, but the gap on St Mirren isn't closing as they are at their best point by winning a national cup. Hopefully what you say is an omen. Well done St Mirren though. Lot of unhappy Hearts supporting friends tonight.
