  1. I believe that Young turned us down because he was asked to come down from Aberdeen for training 4 days a week rather than the 2 or 3 which he was doing last season, and he wasn't up for it. I guess that Queens were more flexible, and they train in Glasgow so the travelling would have been about the same for him. As for Jim, it would be a real shame to see him not get a club. Maybe he'll end up back at Accies on lesser terms than last season.
  2. I'm sure I read somewhere that he was going to be training with LA Galaxy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him pitch up somewhere in the MLS.
  3. Only an hour and a half away. I might be tempted to go take in one of their matches at some point this season and see how he's getting on.
  4. Cannie is wired to the moon, no chance I'd be getting in a car with him Apparently he has signed for Greenock Juniors for the coming season.
  5. Going by his twitter page, he hasn't signed for anyone or is in fact even training with anyone for that matter. No idea what's going on, but it does seem a strange one.
  6. He did indeed, was going through his training at Tulliallan throughout last season, meaning that he was only available to take the games at weekends and missed training, so I'm not surprised he's struggling to find the time needed.
  7. Di Giacomo has signed a 1 year deal at Airdrie United.
  8. Turns out that he signed for Cliftonville last week, and should play in their Europa League qualifier tomorrow night
  9. Kieran McAnespie has signed for Stirling Albion.
  10. I've read the following rumours regarding some of the players we released at the end of last season Colin Stewart wanted by Airdrie and Ayr, Airdrie have just signed Kenny Arthur so you'd think Ayr are top of the queue now. Marc Smyth was also linked with Ayr a few weeks back, but not read anything more on that one since. Matt McGinley is set to sign for Annan Athletic. Derek Young is rumoured to be the next big money part time signing at Peterhead.
  11. Scott McLaughlin has joined his old boss Jim McInally at Peterhead.
  12. Ex defender, and owner of the world's shortest arms, Chris Smith, has signed for Falkirk.
  13. Was just about to post that. Seems a strange one really, I thought he would have had enough about him to get another full-time deal somewhere.
  14. Nothing Ever Happens - Del Amitri, followed by The Boy in with the Arab Strap - Belle & Sebastian. That's right, I'm old schooling it with my 90s music today
  15. The Erste Liga is probably on a par with the scottish first division, and I'd tip Witteveen to score 15-18 goals in a full season in the first division.
  16. David Witteveen has scored his second hat-trick of the season tonight in a 6-1 win for FC Lustenau in Austria's 2nd tier.
  17. Can't see the video over here, but I can see from their website that Gary Tweedie plays for Forres. Not heard of him since he left Morton actually, good to see him still in the game at some level.
  18. Would Eddie Malone really count I wonder, considering he was only a trialist and never a registered Morton player?
  19. Can't even get a junior team? I wouldn't normally laugh at a player falling out of the senior game, but he can only have himself (and probably more so his agent) to blame.
  20. The thing about him finding his level is probably something I don't really agree with, mainly because I don't think he would be at all suited to junior football. His game, regardless of how good or bad we think it is, is mainly about passing the ball, and he's not really good at the dirty side of the game. I reckon he'd do much better going abroad to play somewhere on the continent, where he'd be more suited to the slower pace of the game. Not suggesting he'd be able to play at much of a level mind, but plenty of lower division scottish players have gone abroad over the last few years, so why not.
  21. Couple of choons right there! Now you'ved mentioned Nine Black Alps, I've stuck on Shot Down.
  22. Editors - Bullets, followed by Radiohead - Nice Dream. I'm in a mellow mood
