  1. Dundee Utd are the form team and with the squad they have should be romping the league.

It's no surprise we got well beaten and the players clearly have nothing left. Players like Broadfoot, French etc should be nowhear this level Power has made far to many mistakes recently.

People being critical of Muirhead after scoring a decent goal is madness least he done something which is more than can be said for others.

We need one more win to make sure of safety, by my God the football we play at times is utterly pish to watch surely that can't be the way Imrie wants us to play if we don't have Oakley next season which I don't think we will I hope there is a change of tactics and a reset because it's needed.

  2. Strapp(Keep) Hopefully we can keep as for me he is the best LB in the championship however I suspect he may have better offers and might be off.

Oakley(Keep) Same as Strapp got to try and keep as he offers so much but I suspect he will have offers elsewhere.

Muirhead (Keep) His goal record over the past few years speaks for itself, threat from set pieces and can do something out of nothing, he has improved a lot since Imrie has been here albeit his work rate and attitude can be questioned sometimes.

Gillespie (Release) Have never particularly rated him good for penalties other than that I don't see what he offers.

Crawford (Keep) Puts in a shift every game okay this season hasn't been his best in terms of the end product and that must improve but for me I would keep him.

Waters (Release) Attacking wise he offers nothing, he is okay defending but even if strapp doesn't stay we should be looking better.

Power (Release) Had a good season but his legs are gone.

Broadfoot (Release) Legs are gone get rid.

McGrattan (Release) Not impressed when he had been in the team and not really developed like I thought he would.

Garrity (Keep) Young, energetic and has made an impact since coming back from loan needs to improve his consistency but there is a player in there.

O'Connor (Keep) Solid defender at the level hasn't improved again as much as I thought he would have considering how good he was last season but overall I think he has done well enough to justify a deal.

Quitongo (Release) - Injury prone and for me the final ball and goal return isn't great either, can't fault effort but too much of a risk.

Blues (Keep) - Never understand the hate he seems to get from certain people. He has improved a lot since Imrie has came in, can play a number of positions and always puts a shift in I wouldn't be starting him but good enough to be a squad player.

  3. Imrie said in a recent interview that strapp was injured, I don't see why that wouldn't be the case it wouldn't benefit strapp if he does want to move on to not play because of anything other than an injury.

Looking at who is signed up for next season you would imagine that the ones who are out of contract a lot of them like Oakley, Muirhead, Crawford to name a few will be offered deals but whether or not they sign is a different matter.

It will be an interesting summer to see what we can bring in and what the sort of game plan will be, the league I think next season will be even tougher than this season and we really need greater quality and depth over the whole squad.

  4. A point was probably a fair result judging by what I saw on stream.

With Airdrie winning I would say the playoffs are now really unlikely, same long ball for most of the game pretty awful to watch it's not even that effective at the moment but I can't see Imrie changing.

Pretty much just between 5th and 8th now you would imagine, again after such a promising start to the season as usually giving up towards the end.

  5. The sad part is there was a player in there somewhere I remember my cousin who is a Dundee fan saying he was excellent and rapid but after a really bad injury it's clear to see he is just not at the level now he is scared to do anything and the distribution is abysmal.

I do feel quite sorry for him because I don't think it's a lack of trying it's just him being scared to do anything on the pitch and it's difficult to say if that will ever change for him.

  6. O'Connor was excellent last season along with Baird he doesn't become a bad player because of a few bad games, Broadfoot was a good player but he has clearly past it and Saturday was an prime example of this it should be Baird and O'Connor for the rest of the season.

There are only a handful of players who should be kept for next season depending on what we want to achieve, but we clearly need more depth and more competition for places. The likes of Strapp and Oakley will probably be hunted by a few teams you could probably add Muirhead to that but he would be a much bigger gamble than the other two.

  7. Surely no way back now for Arbroath didn't realise they play Inverness on Saturday if they lose that's pretty much it.

Hopefully by the time we play them on the 20th they are down. Saturday another must win.

  8. I have absolutely no idea of the reason he doesn't do interviews and if someone could enlighten me rather than the cloak and dagger pish that would be great.

Again it's like there is a whole God thing around him, can't have a go at him for being rightly pish for the last few months can't do interviews for some mysterious reason, let it go the reason people have a go at him is completely justified.

The ability was absolutely being doubted - and quite rightly so - until Imrie came in the door. Imrie revived Muirhead's career but would Imrie have survived the start of this season without Muirhead returning the favour in Oakley's absence? I think we'd be in a very different situation now if that didn't happen.

The drop-off in pressing has not been down to one individual, it has declined significantly since injuries and general fatigue hampered the team. If Wilson is nearing contention then I wouldn't be surprised to see it return in the near future. These streaks have been a repeating pattern under Imrie and are largely a product of our tactics being limited by our lack of credible squad depth.

I have never doubted his ability even before Imrie there was flashes and I mean very brief flashes for example that playoff game against Airdrie where he scores a worldie, but unfortunately it was few and far between.

The pressing you are correct 100% it should be the whole team and by no means has Muirhead been the only culprit but I would say more than the others it's the level of not bursting your arse and making a bit of effort that Muirhead frequently has not done in the past few months you should be able to hit a worldie and burst your arse to chase the ball the two are completely separate.

  10. The only reason Muirhead gets stick is because of his attitude and sometimes lack of commitment not chasing, not pressing and looking genuinely uninterested.

Of course he has the ability no one has ever questioned that and for a large part of this season and last season he has been excellent but he shouldn't be immune from criticism. Other things like taking the huff when he has been called our or gestures to the crowd even the fact that he never seems to do any media interviews are things people will pick up on.

If you were picking between him and say Oakley it would be Oakley everyday of the week because of the attitude, workrate and commitment. The sad thing is if Muirhead does leave at the end of the season you just feel that it could have been so much more than it probably was.

I understand people's frustration with Muirhead but this statement is utter bollocks. This season (so far) Robbie is our top scorer and he also has provided the most assists, without him we'd already be relegated.

I said this year not this season calm the ham. He has been largely missing since January and that's what I'm referring to I didn't once say I won't rid of him or he isn't a good player I just question his attitude and commitment in the past 3 months.

  12. Muirhead has got to be one of the most frustrating players I have seen in years play for us.

Of course the talent is there but his body language and work rate at times is laughable he turns up when he wants but the frustrating thing he thinks he can get away with only trying sometime because of the talent he has. So far this year his contribution has been non existent and it's so annoying to watch I think the reason he gets so much stick from certain fans is because of this another example of someone who could play at a higher level but nobody would touch him with a barge poll because of the attitude and lack of commitment, I though he had screwed the nut but recently he has gone back to the same old Muirhead we saw for years.

  13. If we want to start winning again we need to stop with this long ball tactic it was never going to work today. We are so negative and passive, French in midfield was crazy the guy can't even play his natural position let alone in midfield the 5 at the back worked against Hearts but when your playing a team who's form is as poor as ours and leak goals you need to have much more of a go at them than that piss poor.

Garrity made a difference and when we used the wings we played better, Partick weren't great but they didn't have to be.

  14. Just wasn't meant to be tonight Hearts dominated most of the game but didn't look too clever in front of goal. We had a good 20 min spell in the second half where Gordon make a great save from Strapp.

Some effort from all the boys they were out on their feet and it was just a step too far.

Heads held high for the rest of the season let's push on and get these playoffs.

  15. Still looking forward to it despite the injuries it's a massive game and one the players should relish. Hearts are a step up to anyone we have faced this season but if we keep it 0-0 for as long as possible who knows. I can't see them not scoring so let's just hope at the other end someone comes up with something special.
