I doubt he's still a capable option at Championship level, and I very much doubt we will be adding bodies in this window in any event.

I still think launching two kits in one summer is overkill, especially when a club like us very rarely needs a third kit anyway. Releasing a home kit one summer and an away kit - alongside an updated range of training kit and leisure wear - the next summer is the best way to approach it. We can then focus on launching the retro kits around Christmas time too. Launching one kit every summer, one or two retro kits every Christmas, and updating the training kit and leisure wear once every two years is the correct balance IMO.

Fucking boooooooooooooo.

As mentioned above, there are massive differences between a fan owned club aiming to break even and survive in the Championship every year, and a bankrolled club like Ayr who have a rich backer who is happy to invest without the expectations of a return on his investment. We didn't pay much for the land, and making sure the aging main stand is still safety cleared every season has to be the club's main priority at the moment. It's frustrating, but the consequences of overspending the get something built and functional on the patch of land could be catastrophic.

2024/25 Squad and Transfers

Didn't the 'fee' end up being a 6 month loan back and a bag of magic beans after the all-conquering CEO at the time made an arse of offering him a contract in time? -

If we can move him and McGinn on, and use the wage to bring in another attacker to either backup or play alongside Stuparevic, I'd count that as a good window. -
The last thing we want at the moment is Doolan being sacked. If we can have a successful January window and start finding the net more regularly then there's no reason why we couldn't look at reeling Partick in.

I was always under the impression that the vendor paid a fixed fee to the club to run the catering facilities. I can only assume that was incorrect, or the arrangement changed at some point.
-
It's not my screenshot but it's been in a couple of group chats and on Facebook. If it's true, and I have no reason to doubt it, then it's a despicable way to behave. I have no issues with us bringing catering in-house, but it looks like we've managed to piss off the outgoing providers and make an arse of running the catering ourselves. Behaving like this flies in the face of the way I expect a fan owned club to operate. I know the Cappielow management read the Forum and I hope they know they the way they've gone about this, never mind the timing of it, is vile. I'd say we're at a point where the decision maker's position is untenable.

I think that's a key point, it's reached saturation point. I went twice last season and on both occasions Gerry's patter had us wincing with embarrassment at points - referring to the only woman in attendance as the 'token female', creepily massaging her shoulders and refusing to stop addressing her, even when everyone in the room could tell she was visibly uncomfortable, was one particular highlight. I'm all for a bit of near-the-knuckle humour in a setting such as hospitality, but that felt like something else entirely. I think looking at revamping the format could be worthwhile, but personally I won't be back in hospitality until the host is replaced.

How do you think MCT's money is raised? -
I think the last few home kits were declared to the league with white listed as the main colour, and blue as the secondary colour. My understand of the rules is that this would prevent us from having an away kit with the same colour scheme.

I'm surprised the club haven't attempted a modern remake of the McGraw top. If they got the design right it would sell well.

Scott Tiffoney scores Dundee's third goal against Clydebank. George Oakley scores to put Ayr 3-2 up against Hamilton.

I went for a pie at 3.20, only to be told there was no hot food until half time. The queue at half time was all the way down to the stairs at the end of the Cowshed, so I tried again at 4.05 and the pie stall was shut. The pie stall staff saying 'oh this is a shambles since the club took it over' isn't exactly a professional look either. An absolute farce that needs sorted ASAP.

I spoke to club staff when I was buying my season ticket, and was told it would be running this year. I'll be moving abroad a few games into the season and they said they could sort me out with access no problem.

I suspect that Raith's delusions of grandeur will lead them to think they are above Imrie's style of football. Their fan podcast was slating him the other day.

There was an inevitability about it. Partick are probably the only club in the division that can meet that kind of wage demand.

Nice to see they've learned their lesson and stopped replying to emails from Nigerian princes...

Morton club staff and Morton in the Community staff are still working in the stadium every day during the off season. -
Watched Robert Thomson play at centre forward for East Kilbride against Stranraer today. He was absolutely dreadful, even at that level.

Strapp and Oakley are the only two players that I'd be willing to offer wage increases to in order to get them signed up for next season. -

Partick have apparently offered a deal to Gorgeous George. I'd assume this will be to serve as backup to Brian Graham, so hopefully it's not enough to entice him to that lot.
