A horrible cunt club followed by horrible cunts.

Was mchugh not the last morton striker to hit double figures in a season and he's wasn't exactly playing in a very good morton team.
That's not advocating a return we could but probably won't get much better.

Quite a few from Elgin

They should be hounded out. In the long run they (the club board and the mct board) will do more damage to morton than gus getting us relegated imo.

This said person also was overheard within the bowls of cappielow saying that the 10/15 pound subscription payers to mct wernt even worth bothering about. I've since cancelled subscriptions to mct and won't rejoin untill this fkn idiot has been removed from his position.

Graham McLennan is recovering from an op to remove a brain tumour.
First and foremost I hope he makes as good a recovery as possible from such a serious illness and massive operation.
Secondly I'm not sure he or his family would want you telling this forum what his illness is. That's a private matter untill such times as he/his family decide otherwise.

It was impossible to hit the ground running in the circumstances. Similar to building the football team, the new board also have to develop relationships as a team, which can take weeks or months. Sir Alex Ferguson took 7 years to get Man Utd to be the team he wanted, Gerard took 3 years with Rangers. Anything worthwhile always takes time and patience, anything rushed with a short term mentality usually turns to mush.
That's all well and good but feguson didn't go in stating this n that would be achieved by a certain date so that is at the very least a poor example.

It’s less to do with competence than how well they’ll learn from their initial mistakes.
See that's where I disagree these initial mistakes should never have been made in the first place. Some on the mct board have been fans for a long time by there own admission. They've seen the levels of incompetence first hand for 20 years at this club n have continued in that vein by not hitting the ground running just about everything has been delayed tops tickets takeover n the silence is deafening from a communications point aswell.

I think the point is mct should never have announced a takeover date when it wasn't set in stone. As you've said things can drag off course pretty quickly in deals so it's was stupid to say it's done by this date or that which now leaves fans asking questions as to there competence in getting other things done.

The reason he was getting slated for his performances is that he was by far and away the worst regular 'keeper we've had in my time watching the club (so, since the mid 1990s.) Nobody else comes close. If that spilled over into the personal then that's unfortunate, but hardly unique to Morton.
That said, I think the fact that he's managed to come back and recover his career at Dumbarton speaks well of him, and if he used his negative experience at Morton productively - spurring him on to improve - then good for him.
I'd give you Andy carling.

Yeah happy with that, a lot of detail in the business plan and all sounds pretty positive.
Hopefully we can get a few more signed up and a few increased contributions from existing members. I'll happy increase mine once it goes through.
Find it a tad amusing that we talk about going for a leaner better quality squad as every penny counts in the same month we gave Easdale a new 1 year deal. Really hope his uncles give us at least 3/4 times his salary to make that farce worthwhile.
Regardless of what league we are in, we need to be ruthless in who we retain. If we are talking about better quality, then catch ye later Kalvin, Robbie, Sean, Cameron and co. If we offer new deals to these guys, it will just piss off every member and throws the business plan out the window straight away.
That would be his dad not his uncle.

And then what, more bluster and allegations.
For fear of repeating masel again......we're past all that and none of the above is going to make an ounce of difference.

No more anything let Crawford and GC drown in the shit they've created. Withdraw all funding with immediate effect I'm sure him n his fkn GC board might start playing ball.
If not let the more lucrative third party if they even existed step in n take the shit deal he's offering.

Why else would anyone suggest that there is something better coming up Sinclair Street and is going save the day....It's just not going to happen.
Again, IMO we have reached an impasse and your either getting on the boat or your not.
As I said before, NOW is the time to act and put your support behind MCT, whatever way ownership is decided. If anyone decides not to move forward with the options presented, that's their choice.
IMO, time for talk, discussion and alternative ownership is over.
The other option should be telling Crawford and GC to go fuck themselves.

If Rae was looking to gain financially, he'd have walked / sold years ago. They are still paying running costs to keep the lights on now. And Rae is still attending games. If he really didn't care, would he bother his arse?
Personal view is that Rae is concerned a debt free / asset rich business, potentially run by a combination of fan committee and online polls, could quickly get in over their skis and end up mortgaging the property and whatever else. This could likely lead to administration where the whole lot could be sold at a cut down price with creditors effectively making that decision.
I personally think that's unlikely and am positive MCT ownership will create opportunity and enthusiasm, but it's definitely not going to be easy for the club under new owners with not a huge amount of revenue to start with.
With both options on the table, Rae would have an element of control if the club did go into financial hardship, either by being the owner of the asset or by being the primary creditor. I'm personally comfortable with those options if it means MCT take control. I'd rather that than roll the dice on Rae electing to sell to a 3rd party or the club meandering on in it's current state.
Of course nothing is agreed till it's all signed and sealed, but I trust that the MCT board are thoroughly exploring all realistic options for a settlement with GC.
Birthday caird pish. Off you fk

Decent wee day at cappielow today. Be interesting to see how much was raised.
Boys had a cracking day meeting the players and manager. Few wee bits n bobs picked up along the way.
Roll on Saturday and a Falkirk hounding would kick the season off in style.
