The Chorus of "There Is A Light" I believe is about death and how its a pleasure? Thats only from memory though. How many Smiths/Morrissey songs have I listened to? Enough. I can't believe your naive enough to disregard the fact that The Smiths/Morrissey songs are by in large depressing.

I'll pass. I couldn't dig any song names out my cache, possibly down to fact its best to forget, but I've heard many a depressing lyric sang by that fud - and you can't deny that.

Awful Boring. Edit: What I will say is, the music the smiths produced was great, just not a fan(allegidly) of the added lyrics. Johnny Marr was truely great and talented musician. Its just a shame he was partly responsible for the tiersome lyrics.

He is a disgrace to Alternative Rock, which is on the whole the best music genre - despite its shame.

Morrissey's music is considered as Alternative Rock....known to most of us as pish.

I thought you ment varied as in Rave -> Emo. Apart from The New York Dolls and Motorhead, the rest is Indie/Britpop or a mild variation of another - I chose to cheat and say its all a form of Rock. The Jam > The Smiths.

Albeit, he's regarded as a solo artist he does have a band and sang in one just a touch superiour to The Smiths. Surely if you listen to Paul Weller, you listen to The Jam?....or will three sink the boat?

A varied taste of two bands that are arguebly the same genre!?....Although at completely different ends of the good and bad scale, Morrissey coming somewhere inbetween aids and leprosy.

I was just about to commend you for listening to some Paul Weller - finally a change, but you had to go an ruin it by listening to another track of despair and depression. More than anything, I'm shocked you haven't taken your own life yet with your narrow, depressing taste of music - although you have opened it up to two bands now.

I just like coming on here to reasure myself that I have a decent music taste.
