  1. Bastille are tipped to be huge this year.

Couple of absolutely tremendous songs but the rest is generic tripe. Could be hit or miss.

For anyone who likes genuine talent, check out Mike Masse on YouTube. Sings in a pizza shop but some of his cover versions are unbelievably good. His versions of Africa by Toto and No Rain by Blind Melon are pretty special. I reckon he'd be huge if he didn't look like Bill Bailey.

  2. I've still not got round to getting tickets for Feb! Seen them twice before and they were both brilliant nights.

Standouts for me on this album are definitely Bigger Than Us, Strangers, The Power & The Glory, and Bad Love. All excellent. :)

That's currently stuck in my head thanks to NFS Hot Pursuit. That game's like watching an episode of Top Gear that Zane Lowe's picked the soundtrack for.

  3. Yeah but I don't get it. Apart from maybe two lines in the song it doesn't really fit.

Exactly! If you listen to it, it's defo about a burd. Fck it, it's not about drugs - screw you music press and your need to dig for hidden meanings that aren't there. Cants. I mean there's a line saying "she grew up well and she grew up right, with those Indiana boys and those Indiana nights". How is that not about a girl?

Happy birthday by the way young chow.

  4. White Lies - Ritual.

I read a review of this new album in yesterdays Scotland on Sunday which gave it 1/5 and slaughtered it, however it sounded ok on the first listen.

Never take any heed of music reviews myself. It's such a personal thing that I really don't see the point of listening to what someone I've never met thinks of it.

  5. Yeah it was. But everything up until then was just brilliant. I really can't pick a favourite album but Alive or Just Breathing when performed by Howard Jones probably shades it. I really, really need to see them live.

Howard Jones? That mullet toting dude from the 80s? Wow, he's changed musical direction these days...

  6. Boozie! Trust Company are bringing out a new album, didn't even know they were still kicking about!

They've got a new single out, Heart In My Hands. I'm gonna give it a wee listen later on and see if it's up to much.

Seriously? Class! They broke up a few years ago but even Amity Lane never got anywhere near their standards. Nice one!

Anyho, currently got on Lazee ft. Dead by April - Stronger

    Tune.
