Bob gone now Cadden . Nothing coming out of Cappielow other than YouTube player interviews and ramblings about Ton TV .

Dunfermline got it spot on . Get rid ,get in what money we can so we don't have to pay anyone under furlough and sign everyone from scratch .

Not us .

Still haven't heard from club either about what do you want done with the money left from your season ticket from last season . Still 4 home games left when Covid arrived . I,d tell them to keep it anyway if it helps the club but it,s nice to be asked .

So I think I,d be worried about next season

What? You're simultaneously complaining that our players have signed for other clubs and complaining that we haven't released everyone?

Do you think it would have been more or less likely for players to choose to stay at Morton if we released them all so they received no money throughout June and July, when keeping them contracted and furloughed literally costs the club nothing and allows them to continue receiving 80% of their wage?

Don't forget offering ST holders money back for what they were 'owed' from last season*, which would of course further boost our Hearts-swording charge for the title.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

As for the very disappointing Cadden news, there is a need to know whether the club received a compensation fee and how much it was, given the murky rules for cross-border transfers. If the grand plan is for us to put together a squad of young players only for some EFL bumpkins to cherry pick the best of them in 12 months and leave us with the dung then yeah this isn't really going to work out at all.

Good luck to him.

I can see Hopkin going with Nesbitt and McGuffie as first choice wingers. I think completely rebuilding the attack is overstating it - we already needed another centre forward, we still have Colville and Lyon as creative midfielders with Nesbitt an option in a more advanced role through the middle as well. We could now do with adding another winger too but it doesn't mean we're having a total overhaul.

This is obviously shite news but we all knew it was a distinct possibility.

Dont think it's a given Nesbitt will stay, won't be short of offers either.

Hope he does of course and as you say, it's a chance for McGuffie to stake a claim now

FGR's manager Mark Cooper is universally disliked, falls out with his players all the time, and spends each transfer window signing half a new team and then blames the players when they aren't winning. Rather Cadden than me from what I've heard, but I'm sure they pay well so I can't blame him.

Seeing Nesbitt being rumoured to be away now too, back of the Tele was posted on Twitter.

Would be a massive blow to lose both Cadden and Nesbitt this summer. Getting increasingly nervous about our potential recruitment.

I said after Cadden leaving was announced that it didn't massively change the job Hopkin had with recruitment this summer, but Nesbitt going too would mean our first choice front three is away. We could really do without this.

We're not going to be back in training until mid-August at the earliest so I'm not expecting to hear anything about new signings for weeks yet, and I expect most clubs at our level won't really have much movement on that until August with Dunfermline and Hearts being the only exceptions so far. Not hearing anything about renewals is becoming a concern though; what's stopping the players already here signing new contracts?

Whose interest is it in exactly for 'Dunfermline thinking about a potential contract offer mebbe' to be splashed across the Tele as 'an audacious move'? I sense a ham-fisted agent at work here.
