AyrshireTon
Grant on for Sutton - words fail me. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. TheGoon
Well I’m not sure how we’ve actually managed to win a game with that team but fair play, things looking a wee bit better now.

dunning1874
That’s a huge win. We’re still 9th, but that’s brought everyone from 5th down into touching distance on a day where a defeat could have cut us adrift. We’re still in a fight, but we’ve got teams to realistically aim for. We could genuinely end up with at best 3/12 points in our next 4 games and be back in the deepest of shit. Still more worried about 10th than 5th. Yeah, but that’s exactly why it was so important to get back within 3 points of all these sides today, particularly an Arbroath side who are deteriorating as the season goes on, rather than going into that run of fixtures already having 6/9 points to make up on them. Chesh
If we can win our game in hand (whenever that gets re arranged) then we would back in the mix for the play but the landscape of the league will likely be changed by then 7 out of the next 12 points should be aim win both home games and take something from Somerset and away at tannadice is most likely a defeat. Our game via QOTS could be played during the first 2 weeks in February so could be 10 out of the next 15 and that would set us up for a good at third of the season. Im making perfect sense, your just not keeping up.My Twitter - https://twitter.com/RJChesh
vikingTON
We shored things up a bit in the second half but the Alloa performance was far more convincing in terms of securing the win after going in front. A ropey performance but a massive three points as it drags those fishermen and the Tory bumpkins back into the mix. Sutton was far more effective than I expected him to be against a carthorse tested backline - his knockdowns are usually really well judged to bring Cadden etc. into play - and even Muirhead showed a lot more than in previous performances if we’re handing out gold stars. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. Still more worried about 10th than 5th.Our fixture list overall is no better or worse than anyone else’s, so long as people don’t wet their knickers after a few difficult games in a row. Having two home games left against Queen of the South for example (and the remaining game against Arbroath at Cappielow) are important advantages. Getting horsed at Tannadice in three weeks time like most teams will between now and May doesn’t change that. Prior to the postponed Queen of the South game I was demanding seven points from three games. We’ve ended up with six from three from a slightly tougher set of games, which has at least done the job of dragging half the division back into this mess. There should be no doubt about this point though: we need to significantly improve our performance levels (mostly through a better team) if we’re to steer clear of danger. We’ve given ourselves a fighting chance in recent weeks but nothing more unless we add more quality in this window and find a way of playing well instead of just hoping to fluke shitfests.
