McLean is done and needs to be punted to the bench for a proper centre back; we also need a right sided defender with Jacobs put in the middle of the park. If we can do that over the next three weeks then we’ll have a good season.

More positives than negatives for sure but I’m fizzing because that Hibs outfit were there for the taking.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Thought that might have been the case after their big defeat last week

Pity

A QF home tie against the west end darlings would have been nice

Laughing at the two twats that left at 2 nil down to go to the pub, you missed a great game ya fannies

Back row - they were right behind us.

Absolute scenes when it went to 2-2, and again when we scored late on. But I have to agree that they were there for the taking. For all the fight, it’s still telling that a dire Hibs outfit put 5 past us, regardless of the help they got from the officials.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

It’s really frustrating how weak our defence is as going forward we’re excellent. If we can get keep Grant fit (haha) and get another competent defender in beside him we’ll do ok. I hope that’s the last we’ve seen of Jacobs at right back, he’s far better in midfield and Hibs targeted his side until he was moved to CM. Blues again did nothing of note and can only imagine that there’s some clause in his contract that he must start every game as I can’t understand how he’s getting picked every week. He’s a passenger.

Apart from the goal Kamberi scored, thought Rogers was excellent and made a couple of great saves. We’re nearly there with having a squad capable of taking us into the playoffs this season. Just need the defence sorted.

For all it was probably done in the heat of the moment, and they may have a point, I'm not a big fan of managers, assistants and CEOs all venting their spleen to the papers immediately after a match.

You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks!

I don't get the thing about the Fourth Official being appointed at the last minute. Did he replace another official? Or had the SPFL planned to go without one?

There are Fourth Officials for every Premiership game and the TV games in the lower leagues. I'd have thought it would be a given that every last sixteen game in the League Cup and the Scottish Cup would have one.
