About the only good thing he did for us.

Yes because it really kept our team fresh and ready for that play-off push.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Yes, let's deliberately get ourselves knocked out of a winnable cup competition because you don't like it.

If it was late in the season and we were involved in a title challenge and the Scottish Cup then there might be an argument for letting this one go to save the squad for the others, but writing it off at this early stage is utterly preposterous.

It's really not that arduous, and we're not in any kind of position to be looking down our noses at any tournaments. Winning the Challenge Cup is quite clearly a better thing to do than finishing 5th instead of 7th.

Quite. If the ties were being played in March/April then the 'put out the weans' argument would hold some merit. But it's going to have little/no impact on our league campaign, and it gives supporters a cracking chance for a weekend away on the piss somewhere we've not been before (preferably outwith the country). It's strange that the guys who enjoyed pre-season trips like Whitley Bay now scorn younger fans for wanting a similar type of jolly.

You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks!

Incorrect. Get the Russian teams in. Vladivostok away on the Trans-Siberian railway please.

Tragic for Killie that Ayr get to travel further than they did in Europe.

No, tragic that we didn't get that draw or one of the Irish teams. Instead of away to highland league dross X for the 40th time out of 45.

I'm not alone. It's a farce of a competition. The only reason folk are interested is because there's a chance to go to some inbred backwater for a piss up. I may come to the final if we get there. I was at the final against Accies and we had about 7000 there but those days are long gone. Bin this shite.

I wasn't holding out much hope tbh. We always get pish draws in this cup. We're gonna have to start winning ties if we want a wee jaunt to the Emerald Isle.

I just hope Hopkin doesn't dismiss the cup, the way Duffy and Rat McKinnon did.
