Scott
Fair ****s to them if they get that much for him. He's apparently been fairly poor for them this season, and didn't get a game ahead of Leahy last season IIRC? Aye I'd read he's been torn apart a couple of times by Dunfermline and St Mirren already this season and I'm sure Forbes did the same in the Cup game last season at Cappielow? Malt
Swansea were keeping tabs on Strapp so hopefully we get a windfall from them for a couple of players. Can buy even better turnstiles!
TheGoon
Falkirk have signed Conrad Balatoni. A fine player a few years ago but has went off a cliff recently.

The old turnstiles turn quicker than our midfield.
Mr Toon
Peter Houston has said that he will quit if he does not lead Falkirk to promotion this season. According to the Evening Times.
Madton
So hes quitting then,... This league is far too competitive to guarantee promotion for anyone never mind Falkirk. We hammer Skunks, 10 man skunks beat Livvy., Livvy comfortably beat us, Skunks pump DU..The championship will be crazy this season.

vikingTON
Some of their gormless fans are now so depressed that they're calling for Pressley to return. Wake make it so. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Scott
Joe Thomson has returned to Celtic from his loan at Livingston already due to the limited game time he was getting. Seems as though he was expecting to start every week and wasn't happy sitting on the bench. Wouldn't surprise me if we ended up signing him on an emergency loan. Malt
Doesn't sound like the kind of attitude Duffy would go for.
Toby
Doesn't sound like the kind of attitude Duffy would go for. The decision could've come from Celtic, rather than Thomson himself. I can't imagine they'd see much point in sending their young boys out on loan so they can sit on a lower league club's bench.

Toby
Donnelly was in the same position with us last year, sat on the bench most of the time. Yes, but Donnelly was signed as an emergency- I don't think Morton pretended otherwise. And we do have a very good working relationship with Celtic. I'm not suggesting that it's a rigid policy of their's, but I'd imagine if they send a boy out at the start of a season the least they expect is for him to get a regular game. Waverley
Likewise, Jamie McGowan sat on the bench for Troon, on the weekend. The chances of a goalie coming off the bench are pretty slim, compared to outfield players.
Specto
If Jamie can’t even get a game for Troon why the fuck has he managed to be in our squad this long

I know that and agree with all of you say there, but why bring ANY player in on loan, emergency or otherwise, and sit him on the bench?
TRVMP
I know that and agree with all of you say there, but why bring ANY player in on loan, emergency or otherwise, and sit him on the bench? With outfield players you may use different systems and formations that rely on the different strengths of various players in various positions. Keepers, the sweeper-keeper thing Barcelona and the like use put to one side (not really applicable at our level) don't have the same tactical flexibility. They're either good or not, in-form or not. Plus loanees can be cheaper than the "real thing." Not good for the parent club if they just go and rot on a bench (unless they are saving some on wages and it's an older player who doesn't really have scope to improve) but that's one reason.
