Agree with this. He should thrive with the likes of Millar, Tidser and Telfer behind him.

Granted I've only seen one game this season but Tidser aside I saw no evidence of any real creativity coming from midfield.

Peaso scores at EEP for Stirling (1-0 up).

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

Very annoying that he's now looking like a player. Was a waste of space with us.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

Not the first (e.g. Gardyne & Graham etc..) and certainly won't be the last.

Could be the subject of another potentially interesting and controversial poll.

Best keep it balanced and have the flipside too - "players who were brilliant for us and complete non events elsewhere".

McKay has to be up there too.

McPake wins it for me, never in a million years did I think he'd get a move to England or have half the career he did.

Agreed, but the best move he made was from centre forward to centre half!

I remember Ross Mathieson playing for the James Watt college team and stopping for a fag at half time.

Wasn't exactly champions league level so not much of an unusual thing in that league or by amateur game, someone having a fag at half time!!

Played against Ross once in the league. Made a magnificent save from his free kick in the first half but a decent free kick was about it for the day - subbed off at 4-0 down, finished 7-0.

Magnificent save if you do say so yourself!!!

He had boyhood pals who he played with for the College who looked out for him.

Ross was one of the most talented players to come from this area in the last 30 years. Sad stuff

He was a cracking player. Sad what happened to him as he could have definitely gone further with his career.

I know. Was quite funny at the time and sums up Ross as he doesn't take himself that serious and more a character.
