  1. That Hopkin wasted MCT money on him?
  2. Clubs do a lot though with central funding.
  3. To be fair, the community trust have done a great job with people with it (from experience of non morton people and non football people).
  4. Ah, sorry I get you now. I read it as additional to what we have budget for rather than to the number of players we have.
  5. Where else would it come from if he’s spent his budget?
  6. A few people have asked how they’ll account for people pulling out but I don’t think it’s been answered. I think we either need signings or a statement on when the money will be available and why to keep a lot of pledgers happy.
  7. Aye, I'd agree with you but there's a lot of people who don't see the bigger picture so they'll either cancel direct debits or won't convert their pledges if there's no movement on players with the money. The calibre of players will have a lesser impact on that but all these wee things will have an impact as its being sold as a package.
  8. It's being sold as 400k towards the first team budget though. If there's no spending of the money people are going to go back to the assumption it's just buying shares and money is going to GC.
  9. Hopefully the new logo doesn't put people off.
  10. Haha. That was a good day to be fair. I'm sure the guy form the Albert done a tesco run a few times then gave up.
  11. And no one on the board thinks its foolish to delete a sad old creeps posts either.
  12. Nope, I'm pretty sure only one creepy old alky will be on your side.
  13. I'm sure they will. I'm certain they'll not be creepy and do their best to make sure people who spend a lot of their free time trying to support the club have their friends and family harassed.
  14. Apart from when you were Linwoodton and were a creep behind an alias for years then wormed back with another name hoping no one would notice?
  15. No security certificate by the looks of it so seems to be blocked in my office. They need to do a bit more testing of these things.
  16. Great deal on beer garden hires though.
  17. I agree it's probably something he should have thought and will know in hindsight but you're never going to think your dad is about to die when he's only just retired. It might have been clear to us but it's a heart ruling head moment that most of us would have. I don't have any real reason to doubt he wasn't genuine about that plan and he said it would be in his father's lifetime so it's obviously something that's blinded him. Circumstances have changed now and there's a bit more certainty with the single point of failure (for want of a better phrase) no longer being there. I don't think he's stupid either so I'm sure he'll have learnt his lesson. If people think he's being dishonest I guess it's up to them but nothing suggests that to me.
  18. A director publicly stating something several times is obviously them stating intentions. If the shareholders didn't agree then they'd have said something about it or he'd have stopped saying it. The shareholders now weren't shareholder at the time he talked about the 3 year thing. That's the whole point. Things have changed.
  19. They had one majority shareholder when he had the three year plan so he didn't really have to although he probably should have looked at contingency. I'm pretty sure he didn't expect his dad to die so quickly though. Circumstances have changed and he's announced publicly that the debt would be cleared when he knows the situation which isn't now reliant on one person. It's two different scenarios. And I've not once said the agreement won't go through shareholders but he's obviously got a good understanding of what they will and won't agree to have mentioned it. Once there's something concrete to discuss then that's the time for him to get formal agreements from them.
  20. I'm not arguing for MCT BTW, just that whatever they raise is neither here nor there at the moment. Regardless of if it succeeds or not then then club have clearly said they'll only spend what they can afford and there will be no more investment from GC. The points you mention are for people to make their minds up on if they back them or not.
