You should def check that Jonathan Wilson 'Gentle Spirit' lp - hardly anything new, pure CSN & Y / Neil Young / Josh Rouse / mid-period Pink Floyd (!) / Jackson Browne sorta feel, but still UTTERLY superb - and 80 mins. long as well, almost unheard of these days! Gonna see him @ The Arches, Thu. 2nd Feb, as part of Celtic Conx - cannae wait!!!

I thought this Sunday night was BBC @ B'land, but, no, that's nxt Sunday - hope they do lp of the year, 'A Different Kind Of Fix' from start to finish.... This Sunday is the astonishing Connan Mockasin (PleaseTurn Me Into The Snat) - @ King Wah - can't wait!!! p.s. 'Figure 8' - one of my fave lps ever!

BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB - 'A Different Kind Of Fix' - astonishing 3rd lp from BBC... makes me want to go see them on Sunday night @ B'land and, also - why have I not got / missed their 2nd lp 'Flaws'?!? OPETH - 'Heritage' - spotted this in Rhythmic today with its BIZARRE sleeve (sorta 3D / hologram cover - just checked wiki and it turns out the heads on the tree are current band members, the one falling off has just chucked it, and the skulls on the ground represent past members!!!). Ed said it was def worth a 'random purchase of the month' - which I always do - and so I am suddenly a New Prog Rock / Metal fan!!!!!! DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE - 'Codes and Keys' - must be 5th or 6th lp (7th even?) - maybe not of 'Narrow Stairs' stature, but still immense.... GO-BETWEENS - 'Bellavista Terrace' (Best Of) - needs no explanation!

Waaaow, that is some playlist! Don't know Joseph Arthur (???) but adore Psychic TV and Spacemen 3 and 'Heart Of The Congos' is one of my fave lps ever.... 'Here's Tom With The Weather' is buried somewhere in The Record Room, but I'm off to dig it out right now!!!
