  1. As much as I dislike CR7, what a penalty. Not always a fan of the Champions League but loved the latest round of return fixtures.

  3. Our mistake was we got him before he was truly finished. DDFR prefers desperado signings who are completely washed up such as Gaz O'Connor. I am just surprised we never went back in for Lyle.
  4. Only a matter of time until Peter Weatherson is announced and they rename themselves the Morton has-beens - forever in our shadow.
  5. I suspect his indifference was because he felt he was playing below his level - sad to say but he was probably right.
  6. BM clearly has ability but his style of play will never appeal to all especially the guts and glory supporter. I hope (for Scotland's sake) he develops his game and becomes more consistent - time will tell. Regardless though I struggle to like the lad - he played for Rangers, he clearly thought he was better than his surroundings, he chucked it too often and as for his haircuts.
  7. Depends how you define making it at Rangers. At Morton, Raith, Rangers and Forest he displayed/displays ability in fits and starts - the other constant is he divided/divides opinion.
  8. Sorry you must be a DDFR fluffer thinking wee Fred was a player - aside from that totes.
  9. Apart from having two left feet, an inability to defend, couldnae tackle a fish supper, never scored enough and as for his heading ability he is every inch a £630,000 player. Morton are well shot of that haddie.
  10. All part of the sustainability plan - DDFR is a genius.
  11. That is going to cause some confusion, as Derry City signed a lad by the name of Jamie McDonagh (sometimes known as McDonut) back in December 2017 .
  12. Au contraire - you can still be a fan while not being blinded by the limitations of a player. Some of my favourite players at Morton have not necessarily been the most talented.
  13. As much as I was a fan of Pepper is this not another example of a player being so much better the longer he is out of action? While you could never fault his effort, his positioning and distribution was often lacking and he never made any position including right-back his own. In saying all that, it would be a great story if Pepper made a comeback - sadly I suspect the reality is Morton are just giving Pepper the opportunity to get back fit.
  14. Sadly, I suspect he will go but how badly have Rangers handled the whole thing.
  15. I have no knowledge about the truth of the Fred 'affair' other than what has previously been inferred on this forum. Despite the fact based analysis about what an awful player he was I always turned up, wanting Fred in the starting line-up - I even enjoyed the nonsense of 'Fred Day'. He has clearly kicked on since his time at Morton, so fair play to him.
  16. Bring him home . On second thoughts, leave him in the seaside leagues.
  17. That's what my first girlfriend said.

  19. I don't think his ability was ever in question. He looks like his deal involves getting a pie for every goal and assist or do people still believe he just has heavy bones? Cannot help but think he is a wasted talent.
