Enjoy listening to the podcasts. One thing that I would mention is when people talk about decisions made in the boardroom. Very few decisions were ever made in the boardroom. Most of the decisions about Morton were made by Douglas Rae while sitting in his office at Golden Casket. Dougie was an autocrat and just as it was at Golden Casket his word was law and nobody was supposed to questions it. He didn't like being challenged and would just ignore you if you did. It was his way or the high way.

Great article Russell, these "Sliding Doors" moments in life don't come often. I'd like to think we are at another "Sliding Doors" moment in the clubs history with the MCT takeover. Difference is that this time we have our destiny in our own hands.

Listening to all the talk about Irons and when and how he was fired. Iron's was fired right after the game at Raith Rovers. That's where the decision was made and was nothing to do with Grady and McManus. Dougie put Grady and McManus in place for no aother reason than to save money as Irons had blown the budget he had been given by Dougie. Dougie never forgave him for that. As a matter of interest this was the first time Dougie had given a manager control of his budget. It never happened again.
