  1. Bit of a trivial thing but a few of the boys were down watching Sheffield United swording West Ham last night, were taking some Blades fans up and got stuck in Carlisle. Jack Iredale found out about their dilemma on Twitter and sorted them all out for comps for Carlisle v Plymouth today. Good lad.
  2. Not sure about the Challenge Cup, and even how that would affect his eligibility as it was effectively a reserve team, but I certainly remember him coming off the bench in their Challenge Cup first leg game in Wales.
  3. Billy King signs for St. Patrick’s Athletic. I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere.
  4. You don’t even know what’s in the public domain though, as, as you’ve admitted, you have any actually seen any of the tweets, which are still on Morton’s team selection thread from Saturday. You’ve made an assumption, based on the club’s statement, and in spite of whatever anyone else has said in relation to it. It looks to me that you believe what you want to believe- that’s your prerogative, but spare us the bullshit about only knowing what is out there to the public. There’s plenty of evidence that you’ve blatantly ignored as it doesn’t suit your argument.
  5. Jack Iredale scored for Carlisle in their 4-1 defeat at Crewe today.
  6. I very much doubt it. In spite how badly it’s gone for him there, why would any player of his quality want to stick about at this shit show? He might regret going to them, but he won’t regret not staying here.
  7. The ego has landed at Gretna 2008. https://twitter.com/gretnafc2008/status/1201633823387242504?s=21
  8. Nice to see Scott Taggart joining Thomas’s mission to keep us in this division by opening the scoring for Inverness with an own goal too. Awful good of him .
  9. Now you mention it, I did see that. A “members only” event I’m sure I saw it advertised as? I suppose they’re entitled to invite who they want, but it’s not really great to have those restrictions in place when there are some undecided about whether to contribute or not, but have legitimate concerns about Morton’s wellbeing.
  10. How’s everyone feeling about MCT now? Still contributing? Anyone stopped their DDs with Christmas approaching? Happy with what they’re doing? The positives are clearly Strapp and Lyon being signed on extended deals, but what else? Communication seems to have dried up, big time- over two months since their last update on here and at a time when the support’s concerns are growing by the day with the club being hit by embarrassment on the pitch and scandal off it. I’m extremely concerned with the silence coming from Cappielow, and I’m probably not in the position to ask as I don’t contribute, but fuck it, have this fans’ body who are taking you guys’ money off you to hand over to Crawford asking the right questions? Or any questions? My main concern about Mr McLennan when this was started was that after c. 25 years of going to Cappielow, I’d never seen or heard of this guy. I haven’t heard much of him since his 15 minutes of fame. If any other investors don’t want to give their views of the current malaise at the club, that’s entirely their prerogative, but a fans’ group, taking fans’ money should really be more accountable. It’s beginning to feel like if you say nothing, hopefully folk’ll just stop asking questions. Is it now just a case of a few MCT guys getting a cosy seat in the stand and a nice lunch every second Saturday in exchange for not actually grilling anyone like they’re being paid to do? Are MCT happy with how things are going on and off the park at the moment? If not, why not? If so, why so? Is it unreasonable for me to suggest they’re not doing anything other than handing Crawford a cheque every month to do what he pleases with it? Paul made a point in the summer about the doomsday scenario. If we get to the point of another Save The Ton campaign, would folk be as inclined to put their hands in their pockets when many have already done it without seeing too much evidence of MCT actually representing their views? Any answers to these questions would be appreciated.
  11. Never mind the gambling addiction, Andy could do with shutting up when it comes to social media. The guy’s currently suspended from his job and is calling out folk on Facebook, and it’s not the first time there’s been similar instances, such as when he stuck his snib into the Duffy/Lennon shenanigans. He’s really not doing himself any favours at the moment, some things are best left unsaid.
  12. The great leaches of Scottish football, Queen’s Park FC have voted 91% in favour of turning professional. Nice to see that after years of sponging money from Sport Scotland and ripping off the governing body so they could reside in a manor they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford, they’ve been forced to stand on their own two feet. Hopefully they’ll be spending their own money bringing Lesser Hampden up to licensing requirements rather than taking yet another wee present from the SFA.
  13. Mark Russell scored to level the tie on aggregate for Finn Harps before they went on to score again in extra time to beat Drogheda in the League of Ireland play off to ensure their survival in the Premier Division.
  14. They should be anyway. For all the negatives around our club at the moment though, it shouldn’t be forgotten that we, more than most in that league last season, absolutely buried those insufferable fuckwits. Whatever happens in one year, five years, ten years or fifty years time, that should never be forgotten. They struck a few blows along the way m, but we won the war. With aplomb.
  15. I thought we were talking about Hopkin’s paymasters?
  16. It’s a two week event at this time every season designed to draw as much attention to Rio Ferdinand as possible for an issue that he has only tenuous links to because he’s a complete fanny combat racism in football.
  17. To be fair, they acknowledged his death immediately on social media. If it takes a few days to do a bit of research into a guy that played for the club fifty years ago and pen a detailed, fitting obituary, I’m all for that. Hopefully he’s given a minute’s silence at Saturday’s game.
  18. 11th and 13th May 2006, which would’ve been the Hearts v Gretna final. I’ve not checked that date matches, but it does ring a bell.
  19. The wording’s not terribly clear on that one, though. He didn’t start his career at Morton, but started his time at Morton as a number 7.
  20. Aye, Ecuador in the Kirin Cup in 1995. Similar situation to Morgan in that he’d just been promoted with Raith, though. Came off the bench to score the winner in a 2-1 win in Japan.
  21. And Ian Black as a Third Division player before him. Quick quiz question- who was the last lower league* player to score for Scotland? *Lower leagues in Scotland of course, before some smart arse hits out with Fletcher or Rhodes.
  22. The Rangers game has been a cracking watch in fairness. Rangers should be at least three up. Hopefully the misses come back to bite them.
