teenage fanclub - dont look back from grand prix one of my favourite albums period. Reminds me of being in uni at 19-20, going out in glasgow with my mates from greenock and new mates from up the road and thinking we were pretty cool. AHHHHHH to be 19 again!!!!

Fuk me gently!!! Anyone heard glenn campbell's album "Meet Glenn Campbell"?? The guy who did Rhinestone Cowboy and played on early beachboys stuff being a relative. Feekin ell!! For a bloke from the country set up, I have heard 4 songs from it!! Superb!! Basically covers of songs from the last 15 years. Great versions...better than originals... of sing by travis and good riddance by green day. Heard stuff on tom morton, stuart maconie, billy sloan etc. It sounds the biz!!!! Everyone should buy it!!! Google it. Listen it sing and good riddance and tell me they are not genius covers!!!!! I get paid on thursday and it is the first thing that i will buy.

My mate's band played on the same bill in tuts as a band that rourke and joyce played in about 3 years ago. He ended up having a few drinks with them and told them "My mate (me) is a huge fan of the smiths and will be gutted he is not here...blah blah..." He told me this the next day, having not told me about the gig before hand... I have not spoke to him near on 3 years............. Other smiths anecdote.. I have covered a couple of shifts in the greenock celtic as a favour for my paw in law. WOndered why I got $15 of tips over a 3 hour afternoon............ must have been the "Queen is Dead" Tshirt!!!!!!!!!! WOre it into CLeats once...............not so welcome...!!!

Daz!! Great shout!! I always forget what a great song it is til I hear it again. Listening to seldom seen ked, the Elbow album. Just back from a poker night with, among others boozhound and foxy. I lost big time, hence why its me first. My power cable will give soon, but One day like this , is a proper song. I also have Roddy Woomble's solo album on stand by, My secret is my Silence. Anyone not heard it, I urge you to give it a listen. Some album the elbow one. Weezer also!!
