  1. Would imagine Hearts get same as Motherwell, wde and away section of main stand which must be about 3500. Expect us to sell similar to Motherwell game so another 3500, maybe closer to 4k The whole rain excuse is a bag of shite, just sell tickets for Cowshed/Sinclair Street as we’ve always did and get on with it. We've got a chance and that's all we could ask for, bring it on!
  2. Jordan Davies scored a double yesterday, 17 for the season now.
  3. Is he that patient? Think they are on the 6th manager in under 7 years or something like that..
  4. Dougie's blood will be boiling that we used 2 academy players in a promo video! Club have done all they can to build this up, over to us now!
  5. Motherwell sold more than 1700 now...
  6. Power was MoM for me, he's been class recently and hats off to him as most thought he was done a few months ago. The last two away results are up there with the best in many a year, incredible performances! Can't wait for Friday, it's going to be a long week. Hopefully Cappielow is bouncing!
  7. It was also just a long unbeaten run at home, not overall. I'm pretty confident the run continues tomorrow. I'd be tempted to play O'connor at Rb and bench French but understand the reluctance to change too much in the back 4 with the run we are on. Edit- Once broadfoot is back.
  8. Def spent a fortune in the summer but it paid off as their fans came out in force and backed them with season tickets etc and their average attendance is double that of last season.(1900 more per game right now) If you look at that over the season, an average of £15 quid a ticket x 1900 x 18 games is an additional 500k so the extra cash spent in the summer will have paid for itself. I'd imagine their budget is prob the 2nd/3rd highest in the league , despite what their fans say.
  9. No doubt it will have an impact but I'm thinking a 1000 is way off. Its hardly far for Motherwell fans, I live in Bellshill so next door and it's 35 mins down the road. If you average a ticket at £15 quid, ( no idea what the ticket pricing will be obv) 24k TV money amounts to 1600 extra fans so we are well covered anyway if the crowd is significantly reduced.
  10. 1000?? Seriously?? Aye it's a pain having the gantry in the cowshed, but every one of the 2k-2.5k who have showed up for our big games in the last couple of years will hopefully show up again for a potentia shock and into a quarter final. Stand either side of the gantry, behind the goal or in the main stand, loads of space. You might actually get a few local neutrals( bigot brothers)show up on the Friday night too. Nothing better than a game under the lights at Cappielow, I'm buzzing for it.
  11. Guess there's a possibility of a TV game but I doubt it. Celtic and Rangers games a given Airdrie v Hearts prob 3rd choice. Aberdeen v Bonnyrigg or ICT v Hibs prob ahead of us so hopefully a 3pm ko and a big crowd.
  12. Think we'd all take that but let's hope we batter them. With both sides doing well and the bigot brothers not playing, I can see a right good crowd tomorrow. Weather looks good too and the club have done well to market it. If its above 3119 it will be our highest crowd in 6 years since St Mirren in Jan 2018( 4126)
  13. That was class, fans were brilliant today, got right behind the team and great to see the full team and manager over at the end. The rage at Strapp throw ins was worth the 25 quid alone. Huge next week, hopefully we can get over 2000 home fans, players deserve it.
  14. Looking at his numbers, that's 30 goals he's scored under Imrie in just over 2 years. 85 appearances during that time with a few of them being sub appearances, particularly in Dougie's first season. Don't think any of us would have predicted that kind of return going by his first couple of years with us. Huge credit to him for turning his career around and for the management team for getting the best out of him. Hopefully contract extensions are on the table for him, Crawford, Mullen, Oakley and Wilson. Don't think they will be short of interest so would be great to sign them up ASAP
  15. That must be up there with our best performances under Imrie alongside the pumpings of Inverness, Hamilton and Dunfermline. Really enjoy that today, we were so comfortable and could easily have scored a few more. We look so solid at the back, 4 clean sheets in this league is some going and huge credit to the back 5 We will miss Robbie on Saturday but great to have 4 options who can come in for him. Good to see a busy Cappielow again too, that Partick game on the 13th looks very tasty!
  16. 5 unbeaten, 11 points out of 15 and 3 consecutive clean sheets is a very good December. Let's take care of Ayr next with Oakely and hopefully Jai back in the squad.
  17. Decent enough point. Thought we looked solid enough and had plenty of the ball, just lacked some quality in the final third. Felt we could have got the ball over quicker rather than take a touch and allow them to get back in their shape. Lacked a bit of urgency, especially from Mullen which was frustrating at times, could have got the ball out quicker. Bearne needs to pass at his chance, had men free at the back post. Good travelling support.
  18. Yeah pretty much same boat as you. Whilst I was happy for Dougie to wait for the right player(s) to become available, the club have known for 10 weeks that we needed a right back and here we are, still waiting. I'm not saying it's easy but it's part of the job to build a balanced squad and right now it's far from it. He didn't even need to build a whole new squad, we had a great nucleus to start with. Broadfoot should be a backup but instead he is playing every week. Another slow, painful start to the league it is then.. Lose on Sat and it's an awful start.
