  1. Is there 2000 Morton supporters who would 'choose' to go into the main stand as opposed to other parts of the ground? Also, By having away fans in the shed, this would somewhat diminish what the Cowshed can contribute overall. The cowshed should be an intimidating place for opposition players to play, when you give a chunk of that to away support who can be in high spirits can lessen that experience. The issues with Ticketing, Turnstiles, Stewarding, Catering are all greater priorities.
  2. I was watching on TV at home and thought I saw a laser dot when Morton were taking corner in the first half.
  3. The fortunate thing is at least the transfer window is closed, so he'll at least see the season out with us.
  4. cant help but think that the club have scored a real own goal with these new turnstiles.
  5. Well Nigel if you compare all of the news reports on the case, and you'll probably find that you'll get more information from their report than any of the others. Still, don't let that get in the way of your prejudices.
  6. It has been covered in multiple media outlets in the UK, and the woman in question made a subject access request and received a copy of the 11-page dossier. Here is probably one of the better news reports of the whole episode, which also shows the tweet in question and the EPL report cover: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13046385/Thousands-football-fans-secretly-investigated-Premier-Leagues-Stasi-spy-agency-political-views-Newcastle-United-supporter-banned-matches-gender-critical-posts.html Any journalist worth his salt would know there is more than one side to every story, and would seek all sides for balance and clarity, but thats not to say that all parties will comment especially if it doesnt show their side in the best possible light. This is something which the SNP do regularly with all their recent scandals. I'm pretty sure no journalist needs to be told how to do their job by yourself.
  7. Ross County is an easy introduction to the SPFL Premier League. There won't be much in the way of expectations, other than avoid relegation, the money will be decent, little pressure and you get to live in a nice corner of the world. If they come calling, it would be a good move for him, however why would Ross County pay us compensation when they can got the pick of dozens of available managers wanting back into the game.
  8. What this highlights is just how aggressive the pro-Transsexual element in this country have become, and how they pursue people who dont agree with their warped opinions. Graham Linehan, writer of Father Ted had a horrendous time from those bastards as a result of simply stating fact based opinions.
  9. Well, he did say they were 'ramming it down his throat' on a daily basis, which if this is the case I can understand him being alarmed.
  10. As I said above, SassenachTon's comments were taking it off on a different tangent, and not quite what this was all about. As for CHC, if there was someone on this board that was going to be first with the 'Bah! You're Racist' wagging finger, I could have bet my mortgage on it being Bridget from Flanders. Anyway, As I said previously i've not really got an issue with fairness and equality being shown to people that wouldn't otherwise be given a chance, whether its people from different ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities etc. However I can appreciate that SassenachTon may be from an older generation and perhaps is witnessing it all swinging too far in the opposite direction. CHC may be a bit oblivious considering he's based in Holland/Belgium, but many BBC Shows nowadays look like a box-ticking exercise where there needs to be 'diversity' on show for the sake of it. Its even the case in BBC Scotland, and why Leanne Crichton seems to be on every football programme, and its questionable whether that 'Thommo' character would have got the main host role on Sportscene if he were heterosexual too. Anyway, Back to the main point. I'd be interested to see how 'run of the mill' Newcastle supporters react to this. Will there be protests? Will the Linzi girl become some kind of cause celebre which will lead to them winding their necks in, big time? It also reminds me of the time that Hawke the Cock started sending letters out to Morton supporters about their conduct with no good reason. I can imagine to someone other than the actual recipients at the time those could have been intimidating. However the Newcastle thing is so much more sinister than that. The club and the league have gone too far.
  11. I dont disagree with any of what SassenachTon has said above, however it is taking it off on a bit of a tangent. I've nothing against fairness and equality shown to people with disabilities; people of different ethnic backgrounds; or fairness shown to Gay/Bi/Lesbian people too. Lets face it, it takes all sorts to make a world. However, thats not really what this is about. This was a young woman who identifies as a Lesbian stating a legitimate fact - a Transexual Woman isn't a Woman - and she has suffered invasive harrassment from her favourite football club and the league, and has now been banned from attending Newcastle's games for several years a result of this fact-based opinion. That is just fundamentally wrong. There are so many different elements which 'attach' themselves to football across the country, for example, every club has 'casual' groups; there is no shortage of right-wing or left-wing agendists using football as a vehicle; there is open support for paramilitary terror groups in stadiums across the country; there is racism, religious prejudice and a whole lot more going on - so why are they putting so much resources and effort into persecuting one woman with a perfectly understandable opinions on her own social media? I've lost a lot of respect for Newcastle over this.
  12. So, in a nutshell you've played at a higher level than Rob Rensenbrink's 40-year old protégé in welding gear?
  13. They could also put perspex windows in the toilets, as it would allow those having a London-by-night to watch the game at the same time too.
  14. Madonna was well fit right into her 50's. Even nowadays she's looking good for her age. Davina McCall is another one. Anyway, I played for Maidstone United today and pumped Ipswich in the FA Cup. I had the chance to go out celebrating but instead said no and opted for an Easyjet back to my humdrum life. Tune in for more fantasist capers next week.
  15. what you doing wandering about with an 18 month old bottle of water? Get a fresh one.
  16. Why is that? Its still early days for Spudgun* here. He hasn't really done anything. * for all younger folk, see below:
  17. Aye, thats the spot which Morton currently use for their own camera, which i indicated as a mannie-with-tripod set up, however the directors box with the comfy seats extends a good 10-15 feet (at least) in front of this bit, which is further out than the pillars. We dont have rich owners anymore, its a bunch of committee men and that Laird character as chairman, therefore that lot sitting on non cushioned seats shouldnt be a great hardship. Get them punted and use that space as a makeshift gantry.
  18. Did Ronnie Rensenbrinken play in that game? Asking for a friend.
