  1. Oakley is a Sherman tank. Invaluable for us. We'll do well to hold onto him.
  2. 12 undefeated. 9 clean sheets in 13. Absolute obscenity.
  3. I highly doubt we'd price him out of a move. He's very ambitious and wouldn't have signed a deal if we were going to tie him here forever. All hypothetical at the moment anyway. All that matters right now is Motherwell on Friday.
  4. It's a case of when, not if, Dougie moves up but I don't think Aberdeen will take the chance. Their loss, our gain.
  5. Allegedly 350k plus future clauses.
  6. Oh. Well, don't I feel stupid. Right, let me save face by quickly coming up with why it's still a bad idea (even though it might not be a bad idea.) Umm... wee neds will gob on it.
  7. Probably because letting people watch for free from outside is a really bad idea when the correct solution is just to fix the queuing system. Inside the ground you can do things like regulate unaccompanied children; outside you're much less limited in what you can do.
  8. "Astonishing" really is the word when you see actual top-level pros having a kickabout. I don't mean marginal guys but the absolute top-level internationals, they can be pushing 50 and unfit but you can tell immediately they aren't like mortal men. No doubt they worked hard to have the career they did but it would also be deeply obvious that they just "had it" and if they applied themselves they'd go on to great things.
  9. I always thought he should have had more pitch time with us.
  10. Mortonbros we're all gonna make it
  11. Yes, the Welsh Premier is where Declan plays for TNS.
  12. Interesting one. The top clubs in the Welsh league are probably mid-table League One. If there was a guy in the diddy Falkirk league with those kind of numbers, Championship clubs would be sniffing around. It's a risk, of course, but if the club's done their homework then hopefully it'll work out.
  13. Welsh lad's 28, that'd be a bit of an odd one. Normally it's younger guys who get a chance at full-time football. We will see.
  14. They've been doing that for years but oddly enough, since this isn't the World Cup final, people aren't that enthusiastic about standing around in the street in a badly-managed crowd with no visible queue lines so that they can have a 20% chance of their ticket scan not working. I guarantee people are showing up earlier than they used to on average, but even showing up at 2:40 isn't sufficient anymore. Hence the problem now lies entirely with the club and not the fans.
  15. Remove the middle paragraph and it's a perfect statement.
  16. Attendance 3,568. Hospitality MOTM was Crawford, unsurprisingly. Feels like two points dropped but in the second half it could have gone either way, really.
  17. I have to say the ref has made a couple of weird decisions but in terms of controlling a bad-tempered game he's done an excellent job. After being hacked down there Jai was furious but the ref intervened immediately and got the Partick tosser away from the situation. Not sure what the additional two bookings were about (one for Strapp?) though.
  18. Yep, we're being sliced open down the flanks now and lacking the energy to counter it. Like our goal in the first half, theirs has been coming in the second. It's far from over yet but this is now worrying.
  19. That's as solid a first half as you'll see at our level. They barely had a sniff and it's not because we were sitting back. They look shellshocked, frankly. Power's been very good in bursts but he's starting to tire already. But the good news is we have Gillespie on the bench so there's options.
  20. Blues and Oakley were both raging there that they didn't get the pass when we forced another corner. You love to see it. Everyone absolutely frothing to twist the knife into the luvvies.
  21. That's been coming. Great work from Crawford to win the corner in the first place and he follows up by being in the right place at the right time to bundle it in. Just need a red card for Graham or "Bannigan" then a bunch of lightning strikes in the WDE to cap off a perfect afternoon.
  22. Angle's not great on the stream to judge these things but it did look offside to me, our disallowed goal. Our high press is rattling them but we'd want a goal sooner rather than later, can't see us keeping this pace up for 90 minutes. Watching Power skin Graham then shrug off the latter's shirt pull was pleasing.
