  1. Aye - It's quite a resume of shame and ignominy. Next stop Kelty?
  2. In a strange way this stuff annoys me far more than some of the other faux pas. I don't expect an all singing and dancing website to be a top or even secondary priority but updating the site in a timely fashion is an easy quick win that would demonstrate the difference between the old regime and the new. It really is a basic issue that is easily resolved but once again it's an afterthought. I'm relatively patient and understand that there will be significant demands on a fairly small group of people but please don't continue to tell me how important fan engagement and communication is if you cannot deliver the most basic information consistently and professionally.
  3. Cadden scores hat-trick for Forest Green but best of all Bombscare McGintys' og fucks up Hopkins weekend.
  4. Terrible shame for the former Wolves prospect.
  5. Do they intend to adopt our hoops as well?
  6. Get the feeling that Hopkin is looking to others to save himself again. Hopefully the new chairman can afford buying into the Hopkin dream of 25 players and 20 backroom flunkeys.
  7. He was simply awful and if he's managed to find some form across the Clyde that's good for him. I just pray we never get something as howlin as that again between the sticks.
  8. It was probably acceptable back in the day when there was little or no demand for entry into the senior leagues but clearly things have changed. Brechin are a good example of a club doing as little as possible to justify their membership of the league and being punted because of it. The introduction of competition and risk to Div 2 can only be good for football in the longer term.
  9. I know 2 brothers originally from Stroud who travel home and away to Forest Green and both were gutted when he was injured. Nacho is correct that his absence was very costly. Dale Vince is very ambitious and Cadden may well be there for a bit longer unless he's desperate to move.
  10. Tidser scores for Kelty to secure his return to league football.
  11. Amazed that it was about 15 years ago Paul McGowan was playing for us. Still putting a shift in.
  12. He's always worth watching and head and shoulders better at crossing a ball than anything we've seen this season.
  13. Heartbreaking stuff for QP losing a guy famous for his dishonesty and lack of integrity. Sad sad day.
  14. Almost forgot about McInally. He's lucky his BoD are less aspirational than the Rae's
  15. Well that's ended well for Duffy. So that's 2 of our last 3 managers have taken their clubs to the relegation play off while the 3rd managed to heroically avoid it by 1 goal. We really do know how to pick them. No idea what the rest of our managerial menagerie have done over the past 20 years but I'd be surprised if any had achieved anything above pub team leagues.
  16. Can't say I recall him but sounds like he was a reserve player with us for the most part.
  17. At the other end of the football spectrum Brechin looking to avoid their justified fate again. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56821552
  18. How long before the word franchise appears in the football lexicon
  19. Because Jim Duffy doesn't read this forum.
  20. Correct. Samuel made no secret of his faith while he was here.
  21. Anybody have an idea what the rates/rateable value for Cappielow and does a community owned club qualify for discounts?
  22. I've never had much faith in the Rae family when it comes to honouring Dougies' 'legacy' (whatever that is). After hearing many statements about the debt being written off/reduced/never called in, we find that it has now conveniently morphed into a valuation of Cappielow minus the car park. I get the feeling that the next instalment will feature magic beans valued at £2m.
