  1. It'll be interesting to see who goe and who comes in.

At the Q&A session with the board a couple of weeks ago, John Laird made it abundantly clear that Morton would no longer be a club that players come to, to end their career.

Would imagine then, that Broadfoot and Power may well be going and there'd be no more signings like Ambrose and McLean.

Surely no way back now for Arbroath didn't realise they play Inverness on Saturday if they lose that's pretty much it.

Hopefully by the time we play them on the 20th they are down. Saturday another must win.

Playing an already relegated team can often go tits up. They already know their fate and any nerves have gone and they can play with freedom.

The ironic thing is, the less they have to do, the better they're doing their job. Weird that they don't seem to see it that way,

When I was doing the Police Divisional orders for the games at Cappielow there was always a match commanders debrief sheet on which any issues or difficulties were logged at the end of the game.

The aim was to get through each match with a Nothing to Report sign off.

It didn't always work out that way but when it did it was treated as successful outcome.

So far as I made out, they hadn’t played with the stewards that the message on it wasn’t offensive and asked permission to display it.

You’ll just about make out from my photo that there’s a skull with a couple of crossed swords, and the badges of Reggiana and Morton. Really nothing to get bothered about in the slightest, whlie they were nowhere to be seen as the pyro was getting set off against Hearts the other week (not that I really object to the young team using that).

It was a mountain out of a molehill. I get that it might appear that I’m probably over-egging the significance of this, but I think it’s important that every minor issue is raised on here, so as to provide an easy reference point of all the security company’s failings and wrong-doings.

They seem to he happy to deal with non issues, but as we discussed on here a couple of times, they seem to home in on easy targets.

It's almost like they have "to deal with SOMETHING " to justify their existence and the more mundane that something is the better they like it.

There was more of this yesterday, and hardly a coincidence that it comes a couple of days after the General Manager admits to having a tense discussion with the security company.

No point in smiling, waving folk off and wishing them a happy weekend when she’ll be behaving like a little Hitler next week because it’s ingrained in her and she can’t help herself. Just own your behaviour and get a job that you’re more suited to- i.e. one that doesn’t involve working with the general public.

That’s the positives though. The negative was their stupid insistence on giving the visiting Reggiana fans who turned up for the first time in a good while a hard time for putting up a flag that was no more than 2x3ft in size up.

Bureaucracy over common sense as usual. You’d think most football clubs would welcome visitors like them with open arms, yet at Cappielow you’ve got guys on radios making a fuss about the most trivial issues when they should in fact be there to make the experience of going to a football match as pleasant as they can for paying customers.

What was their gripe with the flag?

We could maybe do something like bringing back the unemployed discounts. Lots of people in that position in the area and better getting some more than mine.

Something similar was suggested, Dale pointed out that if the club offers discounts then the same deal HAS (by law) to be offered to all supporters, home and away throughout the season.

As he said, if they do that then the club would be basically giving money away.

The question of stewarding also came up. Dale said that he and the head of the stewarding company had, what he described as a "tense" meeting on Tuesday and several issues had been raised.

He confirmed that things, which had previously gone on, would no longer be going on. He didn't elaborate on what these things are or were. Though, I'd imagine that the issue of people being denied entry if they turned up late would be one of them.

He also acknowledged that if someone was approached aggressively then they themselves would become aggressive in return.

The club have purchased a 2 bedroom flat in Dunlop St for the use of players on the basis that a new signing can be offered accommodation as part of their contract (Jordan Davis springs to mind). This means the flat is a club owned asset and there are no outgoing such as rent etc.

All in all I thought it was a fairly positive meeting, and to boot I learned a new word.....Organigram.😂

Anyone else going to the Q&A tomorrow night at the Morton Club? I have to admit, I find it odd that questions need to be submitted in advance of the evening, and that they wont be opening up for Q&A on the night. The cynic in me sees that as a way to filter questions that they don't want to answer, but alas I've submitted a questions via the link they provided on the email anyway.

    Likewise,  raised the stewarding issues

Anything said of proper note? A wee bone thrown perhaps RE contract?

Only that some discussions are ongoing with various players.

George himself said he'd not be available to play this week,  but would be for next week.
