Aye without actually naming any names, they more or less confirmed that it was not the Easdales.

On further thought, I had concerns about how MCT bridges the gap in funding, but when they came on board, Golden Casket had already cut their contributions are were not going to put any more of their own money into the club, or so they said at that meeting at the Gamble Halls. To me, and I know it's simplistic in the extreme to say, that would mean that any increase in the current contributions to MCT would only put us in a stronger position than we are currently.

Pretty much my thoughts. Just off the call and while I'm excited at the news and lots of talk about how the club can be more efficient, and identifying income generation, it's still of course with sole doubts. Stadium development for me is the big issue. Stadium improvements need to be high on the list for me. How does community ownership even think about funding something like that?

But Warren Hawke told us Dylan Dykes was the future. How has he ended up at that level? Oh yeah, he's fucking garbage.

They've been conducting a feasibility study into fan ownership, so I reckon it will be connected to that.

That is unusual, looked decent enough any time I saw him the last couple of seasons with Alloa.

Peter MacDonald has announced his retirement from football at the age of 39.

I was of course jesting, Lamie is comfortably Premiership level. Funny comparing his career to a certain Thomas O'Ware. Lamie has worked his arse off to get to that level, with nothing but thanks to Morton for his time here. O'Ware, on the other hand, is about to piss about in League 1 after leaving for a 'new challenge' and crowing to anyone who would listen about how he had wanted to leave us sooner. What a shame.

The Lamie-Gunning dream team is looking like a goer.

I was chatting to him at hospitality at the end of February and felt that he had aged quite a lot recently. Glad to read he's on the mend.

David Hopkin confirms that we did try to sign Gavin Gunning again, and it was all but agreed but we couldn't get it over the line.

Pledgers received an email a few days ago, advising that talks were still ongoing with the board/golden casket regarding the agreement needed to go forward. You'd have to think that the due date of the 1st of August to make the first payment will definitely be in doubt now given that is only 2 weeks away. Things have definitely gone a little quiet of late.

The CEO which presided over the worst season in the club's history has resigned and it's all your fault. I'm sure the fans will love that. Wonderful.

Neil McCann I would think? Strictly speaking he was from the Port, but I'm sure he was born in Greenock.

Had no idea that the men's and women's teams trained together.

And he only needs 1 nun to help him get out of a chair!

I noticed that Connor Bell has signed for South Shields in the Conference North.

That timing could not be any better. Get him in Morton.

The one action of the snake's that I don't have issue with. Joke of a competition which deserves to be treated with the level of contempt which he did.

Now that's a job I could see Jim Duffy being interested in.

That's no age at all. Remember him well, biggest memory being him getting a couple of teeth knocked out in a head clash away at Airdrie. He was a fully committed defender, pretty sure he even had the nickname Psycho.

You're not thinking about Charlie Telfer's move from Rangers by any chance are you?

Ayr have knocked back a £150k bid from an unnamed English club for Lawrence Shankland.

Really happy to see him get back into the game, I hope he can get back to something resembling his previous form as he was a decent wee player.
