  1. We stopped using Parklea under Hopkin because the pitch was poor and needed replaced. As soon as it was replaced, we moved back there under MacPherson for the 21/22 season.
  2. As far as I can see, he hasn't featured in any of Queens' competitive matches so far this season. He got injured in pre-season and hasn't been seen since.
  3. Crawford seen in training with the team on the club's Instagram page. Also spotted Michael Doyle in what appears to be full training. Would anyone be surprised to see him sign a short term deal as cover?
  4. I appreciate both points, but I don't understand why it's of any benefit to us to include such a paltry figure release clause in any contract negotiations. I don't really see it as protecting our assets or offering an incentive to the player. Dare I say it, but any player at our club would be available for 6 figures, probably less for the majority. We've seen this before with Tidser under previous regimes where small release fees get leaked to the press (in Douglas Ray's case, by himself personally) and I think it just makes us look like diddies. Maybe I'm expecting too much.
  5. Wilson is also injured and has hardly played a minute so far this season for Queens. I'd be stunned if we're bringing him in on loan. Losing Crawford would be gutting as he's our best player, but letting him go for a five figure fee would be criminal. If someone at the club has really agreed to have that clause in his contract then they need their balls/fanny severely booted.
  6. He was a part of the same back three down at Somerset Park on the opening day of the season in 2019 alongside Robbie Muirhead. He had an absolute mare, picked up an injury and was never seen again.
  7. Henk van Schaik (remember him?) had joined Swedish third tier side IF Karlstad after leaving Germans Eintracht Trier at the end of last season.
  8. A 30 year old journeyman centre back who was with Flint Town in the Welsh league last season. Don't call us we'll call you* * we won't call
  9. Could play in their u23 team for a couple of seasons I suppose. Fair fucks to him if he gets a deal there, I'd be shocked but good luck to him.
  10. https://www.pollokfc.com/2022/10/24/dylan-dykes/ Dylan Dykes, a player I had almost forgotten about if I'm being honest, has sadly been diagnosed with cancer at 26. Ridiculously young age. Praying he comes through it. What a fucking horrible disease.
  11. Jack Hamilton expected to be joining Livingston today.
  12. Nicky Cadden signs for Barnsley from Forrest Green on a free.
  13. Fouad Bachirou wins the Cypriot Cup, under the leadership to Neil Lennon, with Omonia Nicosia.
  14. I see that Ricki Lamie has told Dundee where to poke their pre-contract and signed another 2 year deal with Motherwell.
  15. They've already released 10, Charlie Telfer amongst them, with others ending their loans. Seems to be a suggestion that McGlynn will be taking a few with him from Raith.
  16. Not an ex player, but Michael Garrity has scored the opening goal for Annan in their play-off semi final 1st leg against Forfar.
  17. Seen someone mentioning this on Facebook the other day. It was pretty much inevitable I thought after she took on that other job a few months ago.
  18. As far as I am aware, and I stand to be corrected if wrong, but she has always been part time in her role with Morton. There is a hall of fame mural type thing along the corridors of the main stand, as you go past the Boardroom. It's not exactly anything big mind you. While we're at it, that big wall outside Cappielow, between the Main Stand and Cowshed turnstiles, is rife for a big sign, or maybe some street art or something.
  19. Was reading on twitter that Erik Paartalu is now a free agent after leaving Bengaluru in India. Given his family ties to the local area, how long before he gets linked with a move back to Morton?
  20. He's also on the Morton board, and is a new father. I dare say he wanted to be able to have some free time for his family.
  21. I'm sure there's a machine at the shops on Sinclair Street. It's definitely going to catch people out though as you say. I very rarely carry anything over a tenner these days.
  22. I bought last season's home top and can't fault it, personally. Which is an issue in itself, they shouldn't constantly be different from top to top the way that they are. I think it's time to go back to a proper supplier from next season. Hummel Morton tops with the shevrons on the sleeve would be smashing.
  23. It really is horrendous watching a David Hopkin team. To think he would probably still be here if he hadn't done the 'noble' thing and walked out to save player's contracts (and if you believe that, you'll believe anything).
