Cupps looks like he should be playing a level or 2 above the Championship. He absolutely strolled the game. Bashir didn't make much of an impact in his 8 minutes on the pitch.

Not the news I was hoping for from today's Tele "Harry Cochrane should be fit to feature, while Grant Savory is also set to play a part. However, Iain Wilson, Cammy Ballantyne, Jackson Longridge, Jayden Gorman and Kerr Robertson all look set to miss out against Arbroath."

Hopefully get some decent news with the injury situation today. Ballantyne and Longridge surely be back fit, hoping Wilson and Cochrane can shrug off their knocks too. Would be good to get a glimpse of Savoury too, although you'd think he'll be lucky to play even 10-15 minutes. Any word on Kerr Robertson?

Just out myself through the highlights from yesterday, and we looked absolutely diabolical. Passing was all over the place, out muscled constantly in defence, and didn't appear to have any sort of idea what we were doing in the final third. Unless we can get things sorted with our finances and get a few more players in, this is going to be a painful watch this season. McKenzie Carse is not going to solve any of the problems in this squad.

I see Russell Gordon has stepped down from the MCT Board now. I know it's been a bit of a revolving door at MCT for a while, but I honestly don't see how it's possible to operate and progress with such a constant turnover at board level. Which is absolutely no criticism for the volunteers who have stepped up and then stepped away, I totally get that the time demands must be significant. It's just an observation.

Since taking over as manager of Morton, Ian Murray has presided over 18 games in all competitions. He has 4 wins, 4 draws, and 10 defeats, with 16 goals scored and 31 conceded. We've failed to scored in 7 of those games, including in a 0-4 defeat to League 1 Stenhousemuir, a 0-4 defeat to a basically already relegated Ross County, and the league cup defeats this season to Lowland League Linlithgow Rose and League 1 East Fife. We haven't won since beating Arbroath in March. He's signed a team of absolute third rate jobbers. His position is untenable, he has to go tomorrow.

Well that wasn't great. Showed a real lack of sharpness early on in the half - it's obvious we've only played one friendly. Very one dimensional but we should have went on front, not sure who got on front of Sandilands shot. They'll feel aggrieved not to be in front, hitting the post and a big shout for a penalty that looked a dive from where I was standing. Need to add some pace to proceedings, expect to see McLuckie and Garrity on fairly early in the half.
