  1. They've staggered through it, can immediately start selling season tickets & will get through for now. Looks like they've only a small wage bill over the summer anyway. Hopefully they have a fire sale & have to shop in the bargain basement next year. (Personally I hope they try the same thing again, after all, it came within a minute of working.....).
  2. I'd heard this was suspected to be the case previously. I think this could explain some of the old boards odd behaviour/ lack of transparency (being very generous) last year when the Colin Weir shares were to be transferred to a fan's group, leading to protests. They were trying to bury the real situation.
  3. Queens Park have, in the last 2-3 years become my least favourite Scottish club outside the old firm. (Genuinely worse than Falkirk, St Mirren & these days at least - Airdrie). Delusional - 400 fans on average a couple of years back and poaching top flight CEO's the other year, to do what, exactly? They're a glorified pub team with a backer & without that they'd have about as much of a future as 3rd Lanark.
  4. We're in a positive place, progressing and showing signs of (for us in the last few years unusual) competence, a lot of whats happening as in every close season is the usual suspect(s) doing a musical chairs routine. Not too concerned at average guys swapping teams at the same level. Having said that you never know until it starts how it'll gell.
  5. The shirt isn't that bad, under normal circumstances, or at the time of the the blue & white Ajax thing you would have bitten their hand off for this one. Having said that I'll wait until I physically see it. Last year I shuddered when I saw the back of the 1st team shirt in the shop. (Was that even the same blue on the back as on the front, accordong to my eyes in Smiths) It just looked wrong.
  6. One minor thing, I used to moan about the cost of getting the same plastic card reactivated each year, not even a new card. Now it's £300 for a QR code on your phone, I know it's cheaper & progress, etc, etc, but it doesn't feel like I've actually got something tangible for that £300. At least with a card I was a "card carrying" season ticket holder. Old person rant over.
  7. I wish Duffy all the best, a good player for us back in the day and a steady hand as a manager at a time we needed it. Every manager has a shelf life and his time was up with us.
  8. App worked fine, paid up for next year.
  9. Just tried it via browser "content not available" after 2 pages, I'll try the app.
  10. The 'Ajax' thing was a crap pound shop embarrassment. My favourites from these are the red tartan & for some reason the yellow one.
  11. Magic, we get to watch him fail twice in one year...
  12. Looking at who we get in cups each year, I could be wrong but I think its been a whole since we've had Ross County away on a Tuesday night. That used to be as unavoidable as death, taxes & Dumbarton away (& postponed) at the start of the season.
  13. Gary Oliver scores for Falkirk v Darvel, forgot he was still there, league one squads not my thing.
  14. Thought that as well, main culprits Blus and Kabia
  15. There's a partially wasted talent there who's been on a ridiculously fast downhill slide for quite a while. He's needed to screw the nut for a couple of years but has blatantly failed to do it. If league one is no longer his level then championship - no thanks.
  16. I kind of agree with that, but the outcomes from the competitions were decent. Made the trip to Smiths this morning to renew the season ticket & saw the actual shirt for the first time. First reaction- god no! It'll be the first one I havent bought since the last vertical stripes one @ 15 years back. I haven't seen a morton shirt that shade since the Weatherston testimonial shirts.
  17. Madton, During Cappielows office hours I'm at work in an open plan office, so no privacy & where private calls aren't allowed. My best bet is Smiths.
  18. 7 attempts & counting to pay to renew a season ticket so far....starting to think I'll end up wasting a Saturday morning catching a train from Glasgow to get to Smiths for this.
  19. Exactly the same issue as above embarrassing. I'll try it in work tomorrow. I had no issues with this in the last few years.
  20. Just got mine through the letterbox. Quality is up a bit on last years.
  21. Change the blue bands for black and the third strip is late 90's Dumbarton. Looking forward to actually seeing a physical in shop long sleeved version of the home top in the coming weeks. A bit once bitten after getting last years long sleeved on line.
  22. They cannot rely on preaching to the converted, there is a core support, but you have to grow it, continually. Theres alway a natural fall off, obviously,Without the Rooney squad in the late 70's I'd probably not now be a football fan, never mind a Morton fan.
