  1. Away games always attract the less passive of our supporters, Really like most other sides. In general away days are generally more fun & better.
  2. I'd always seen Goodwin as St Mirrens resident cage fighter, if he's describing opponents as physical or aggressive, in all fairness, from him that's a compliment, it's what his game was based on.
  3. Don't forget you've guys making up the numbers in any youth set up.
  4. I think they have really played this. The new stadium capacity is about half their original plan as priced & started in 2020. They've built some very prominent storage/lock up type things in front of the social club for the training gear. I think they've altered the original scheme to create more of a training complex (with @ 800 seats) than a football stadium. (Then pleaded to get back to Hampden after deliberately building it too small).
  5. Bit of both maybe? Same poor ICT & Airdrie with a wee (short lived) promotion bounce?
  6. Wasn't really watching it though it was on in the background, are you sure Dundee Utd didn't somehow make them look good?
  7. Sam Ramsbottoms comedy turns are always worth a mention.
  8. The bottom line to me is we can't realistically expect a running commentary on the running of the club as it doesn't make sense to broadcast potential signings etc. We can't expect confirmation/denial/clarification every time some speculation crops up on an Internet forum. There will always be things better kept behind the scenes, we all have disagreements & tensions in our working relationships, but this shouldn't be taken out of the workplace. There's a practical limit to transparency.
  9. Done a bit of checking on the Dundee Utd thing, they actually used 20 players, so a fair squad & a loan player. The loan was a surprise to me, John McNeil of Morton briefly on loan mid season one sub appearance. I'd totally forgotten that.
  10. I've seen this quoted about Dundee Utd a number of times down the years since they won that championship but I never heard it said at the time. I've a recollection one of their ex-players corrected this one time saying there were actually 17 or 20 players involved across the season.
  11. At least Finlayson was a trier, he'd bust a gut but had little end product st the level we were at. When we get that I don't blame the player.
  12. Seen that more than a few times down the years when somebody limps on because all the subs have been used. Worst one from a Morton point of view was Kevin Finlayson at Broadwood one night years back hobbling up and down the touchline for the last 25 minutes. From the little he could do he should have gone off regardless.
  13. Bought one this year after not bothering last year. The cheap look of the back of the shirt & logo's put me off last year's.
  14. I see you can get Kelty Hearts tickets for the league cup game on the Fanbase app as they are with Fanbase as well. Makes a hell of a difference having a system that works.
  15. As talented as he seemed to be last week, my first impression was that he was a bit lightweight. He might prove me wrong, but I thought someone had shrunk John Maisano.
  16. Apart from the amateurish, presentation, spelling etc in the judgement against Falkirk it was gloriously damning and funny reading.
  17. I admit that was badly worded. The basic point stands. I saw documents for pricing while homeworking in summer 2020, so thats the tender period & covid didn't stop that. QPFC then appointed a builder within months, (they were on site in autumn 2020). QPFC then fell out with them, went legal, changed design & found another builder. The tender documents had this down for delivery in @ a year & it wasn't a complex build. Building sites have now been reopened (with safeguards) for @ 3 years. They've had plenty of time to sort this since Covid had sites closed.
  18. Their main delay wasn't Covid. They appointed a builder in autumn 2020 or so when sites had reopened (with precautions). Work started before a dispute arose between QPFC & the builder. That went to arbitration where I understand QPFC lost. Later they revised their plans & appointed another builder & they still haven't finished. Covid had nothing to do with it.
  19. It's all a bit Gretna with an added sense of entitlement
  20. If nothing else away fans chants could get interesting. Didn't he miss weeks out years back sfter trying to microwave a hard boiled egg that sonehow burnt his face.
  21. They built the original stadium many, many years back to cement their then already fading if not gone position in the Scottish game. Later they contributed bugger all to the complete rebuild, moved out for a 7 figure fee (× 5), squandered the money, made a balls up of the rebuild next door & have just waltzed back in again. What' s wrong, it's our old home!! Can someone pkease tell them it was previously rebuilt by others after being utterly derelict under their watch & in any case they sold it, Jesus wept.
  22. Still nice to be able to say I saw Arsenal with David Rocastle, Michael Thomas & Perry Groves, (never mind their defence),Watford with John Barnes & Maurice Johnson, Newcastle with Paul Gascoigne, and a few more...all at Cappielow (back in the day), but nice to remember.
  23. That's a possibility. Did you know the Lesser Hampden scheme that building work started on after Covid (before being halted) had something like twice the capacity of the current scheme. I'll check the figures, I priced elements of the original lesser hampden work in 2020 & probably still have drawings saved somewhere. It is possible that the capacity for the scheme they are actually (finally, maybe) finishing was cut based on getting a sympathetic hearing should it suit them to move back into the bigger stadium.
