  1. I'm pretty sure that Dougie took O'Connor and Strapp off because they were both on yellows. Fingers crossed for big George.
  2. Michael Garrity has certainly made his mark quickly. Fair play to the laddie.
  3. I think that the BBC are missing a trick by not having Andy as a pundit for the Hearts game. I hope it's not that vacuous tosser Johansson again.
  4. 6-7 weeks ago, I thought they were probably uncatchable. But here we are, watching them implode. Pleasing. Mon eh Ton.
  5. A Partick defeat would be a fantastic result for us. A win against Airdrie tomorrow would put more points between us & them. It won't take many fuck-ups by Partick for us to be right on their tail.
  6. There aren't too many Morton players who have rightly qualified as 'legends' - but Andy's one of them. Thanks for everything you did for the club, and for the memories. Best wishes for a healthy and happy retirement, Andy.
  7. Not the worst result tbh. Undefeated again, another clean sheet, an additional point to further cushion us from Airdrie who have a game in hand. Shame we couldn't get closer to snapping at Partick's heels though.
  8. That’s an own goal waiting to happen.
  9. 5 years for me now. I can honestly say that I haven't missed any of that whole toxic circus for as much as a microsecond.
  10. They took 4300 according to Hearts themnselves. Still a fantastic travelling support.
  11. Speaking as someone who lives in Ingerlund, my only experience of free ponchos occurred at the Download Festival in 2019 following forecasts of biblical storms (which turned out to be correct). At the end of the festival, the site looked like the Somme, with most of the 70k fans having abandoned everything, leaving hundreds of tons of flooded-out tents, chairs, camping stuff and other detritus on the ground for the crew to spend the following month clearing up whilst wading through mud flowing down the arena incline like a river. A team of 20 tractors from nearby farms took two days to tow all of the site and public vehicles back onto terra firma. It took 11 months for the site to grass back over - just in time for the 2020 festival 70k to spend 2 hours trampling it all off again. I'm sorry to say that £2 ponchos weren't a great help. Edit = after thinking about this for an additional 10 seconds, I'm sure that the poncho suggestion was well-meaning. But in time, it would come to be spoken of in revered, hushed tones as 'the-most-tinpot-thing-ever-done-by-a-Scottish-fitba-team-in-the-history-of-the-game'. I can only imagine the reaction of a hardcore 25-stone 6'6" Midlothian thug (who'd blootered his XL Bully en route to Greenock) when offered a wafer-thin human-shaped bin liner to protect his impeccable coiffure from being spoiled.
  12. £18 per game. That's a decent deal for non-season ticket holders. An imaginative incentive which shows that Commercial are doing their best to get bums on seats. 100% to be commended. Edit = Good to see Grant Gillespie looking so happy on the flyer. He's probably thinking about that 94th minute penalty he's going to score so we beat Hearts and get to the semis.
  13. @Deego Sorry mate - I only just saw this. Aye - fixed up. The direct debits are administered by MCT so any amendments have to be done from their end. It was taken care of by a lassie named Trudy. Drop an email to communications@mortonclubtogether.co.uk and they’ll take care of it for you.
  14. Aye, no question. Hearts fans on P&B already saying they could bring 5k.
  15. Hearts look impressive. But let's not forget that they aren't infallible - they almost came a cropper at Spartans and only won 2-1. It's also only three years ago that they lost to Brora 2-1. In the seething bear pit which we all know Cappielow will be on the night - anything's possible.
  16. Psychic Dougie's at the Airdrie game. He must have seen it coming
  17. I'd take Livingston or Killie at Cappielow in the quarters .......
  18. Chris Morton TV watched the game in Bermuda shorts and a vest.
  19. How much capacity was actually lost last night because of the gantries? As fans, we obviously just look at empty seats - I’m guessing Dale has many more administrative, safety, segregation and security balls to juggle than just that, so I’m not sure about the logistics of it because I’d just be taking a wild guess. A decent home draw in the quarters would be a golden opportunity to earn substantial revenue for the club, so you’re obviously bang-on about the club needing to find a way of packing them in. Not an expert in these matters - but I’m guessing that adding an additional ticketing option would be an hour’s job for the Fanbase app developers.
  20. He already has IMO. The crazy-gang spirit in that team he’s built must be the envy of so, so many other clubs. He’s right up there with Benny Rooney in my book.
  21. Didn’t sleep a wink last night. Still absolutely buzzing this morning. Yet another example of how a great night from your team can change your outlook for the whole of the following week. Mon eh Ton !!
  22. I hope to God the turnstiles clusterfuck has been properly taken care of ....
  23. I also can't help noticing how many recent Morton goals have credited Lewis as the 'assist'. Superb asset to the team. I was absolutely over the moon when he returned, having been absolutely scunnered when it seemed like we'd lost him forever. Also noticed that his long throw hasn't gone unnoticed by Motherwell supporters on the P&B match thread. Mon the Lewie.
  24. @Cet Homme Charmant What a shame you forgot to include the rest of the sentence. But fair enough - I take your point. Mea Culpa.
  25. I didn’t say that, not even close. Read my posts again. Any alarm raised was centred solely around broadcasters feeling pressured into obligatory positive discrimination. I was tempted to PM you and tell you about my colour, my ongoing progressive disability, and something else too, after you’d blindly jumped in with both feet and tagged me as white, able-bodied and heterosexual. But I decided not to since I can’t prove it to you without sending you photos and medical records. No minor forum tiff is worth that. I know I said I wouldn’t contribute further, but I’ve been very badly misunderstood and unfairly misrepresented here. I just want folks to know that.
