I know you are most likely baiting people now but I imagine Garrity would be best served going somewhere down the leagues where he'll get game time.

Less players to recruit means less pressure time wise and, hopefully, more chance to pick the right players. I'd back Dougie to have a good ratio with a smaller number of players rather than signing 10+.

Why on Earth would Martindale go to St Johnstone? If he did, then I'd be worried about Livi taking Dougie.

I wonder if the St Johnstone job would tempt Dougie. If they have any sense, they'd be looking at him.

I posted a wee while back that Strapp had said he was leaving. I don't really blame Imrie for not wasting time negotiating with someone who doesn't want to be here. He has been a tremendous servant and I hope he heads down South for a well earned payday and a crack at League1/2.

I would love you to be right but Dougie is, and rightly so, ambitious. His ambitions will exceed the realms of what is possible for Morton. I don't see him taking the Utd job just now however a club of their size is probably his next logical step. If we continue to improve then we can dream of a run like Livingston or, previously, Hamilton in the premisrship. However, it would be a big risk for Dougie to hedge his bets on that and not cash in when his stock is high.
