Yet another game in our division that has been officated by a totally useless referee. Disgrace.
-
Imagine he will be dropping down to the likes of EK or will be going abroad. Good luck to him, no ill will whatsoever.
-
Seen on twitter we are looking at getting one in.

Give me some time to search back over them then, for the sake of clarity.
As I said though, Dougie has resolved that (only) missing part of his tick list of managerial attributes. And please don’t be misled that he’s only made that u-turn for the benefit of Morton. He’ll have been aware that he’s been overlooked for several managerial vacancies and will have realised that no club would have touched him with a barge pole if he didn’t have a positive attitude towards youth development, let alone being completely against the idea. Now that he’s added that attribute to his CV, watch his name start to appear on managerial short lists going forward.I don't want to give oxygen to this discussion but Imrie was pretty sound when I played for Hamilton as a teenager. Weren't many clubs more invested in their youth academy than Hamilton at that point. He knows how to develop young players and thats unsurprising given how he was as a player.

Not an ex player as such but ex-trialist Brandon Diau (TikTok dude) has been told by Colwyn Bay he’s free to find another club. Not playing regularly and picked up an injury. Not saying for a second he should come train with us but wish the boy all the best. Seems like a decent, hard working guy that wants his dreams to come true. Can’t fault anyone with hunger, ambition and drive!
Also noticed Sam Wardrop (former Dundee Utd, Airdrie, Dumbarton) is attempting a similar thing on TikTok by trying to return to pro football
I thought Sam's whole thing was that he was moving on to a life after football and using tiktok to show what it was like to be a footballer plus share some insight into the fitness training regime pros have. Is he looking for a club again?

I’d hope we’re putting an offer in front of Crawford, Oakley and Muirhead this month to try and avoid them signing pre contracts elsewhere.
Dougie said he is talking to Muirhead before the game today. Imagine he will be trying to tie down the core again.

Queens Park put out a cryptic statement announcing that youth coach Paul Nuitjen will be in charge vs Us on Saturday and beyond (without confirming if its permenant or interim). Will be supported by Tam O'Ware.

McPake hated it here and went back to Rangers at the first possible opportunity.
Cheers for clearing up, rings a bell now.

Seen a few Twitter accounts saying that trying to get Adam Devine from Rangers on loan would be a no-brainer.
Don’t know enough about the boy, and don’t really like us having to do any business with, or take any favours from them, but at the moment I’d bite your hand off for anyone, just to get Broadfoot out of the team.
What the percentage of his wage would be would probably be a massive stumbling block, and I had heard that we were previously blacklisted by both the Old Firm after McPake and Welsh’s experiences, but there doesn’t appear any other obvious option with the exception of Doyle when fit.
Incredible that we can have such bad luck with injuries and it seems like the only one who’s not getting injured is Broadfoot.
I didn't think McPake had a bad time here? We also helped McCrorrie on his way in recent seasons. I would be shocked if we managed to get Devine given that he actually played a bit for Rangers last season but would absolutely bite your hand off for him. Especially given that he can play left-back as well as on his more natural right.
Sadly though, I believe that any rumour started from the Spfl transfers account tweeting that Morton 'should' be looking at him, rather than 'are'.

Imrie has had the opportunity to leave, or apply for jobs and is still here. Including when some of us (myself included) were worried he was off to Accies and he came out at a fan Q+A to say he's staying.
He is definitely still learning but is clearly the best coach we've had for an incredibly long time.

If we don't bring anyone in, we are going forward with 4 defenders. That would be embarrassing as well as incompetent.
-
Having recently moved abroad, in really grateful for his and glad to see the early season problems are gone, I'll buy it a season subscription now as that was my only hesitation.
I can't imagine there are many match-going Morton supporters who would choose to watch us on vipleague over going to Cappielow. I know you can't trust anecdotal evidence but none of the 5/6 guys who joined me on and off over the last couple seasons would watch Morton anywhere other than in person as the quality isn't why any of them go.

Last I had heard he was really keen not to move from where he is staying at the moment so makes sense from that perspective. Was apparently reluctant to go down south.

Lewis Strapp on trial at St Mirren

We have still to dip into the loan market as well. I'm sure money is tight but I would expect a rb, regen gk and perhaps another midfield option to come in.
-
Early days but Dundee Utd looking very poor under Goodwin, not that it will surprise anyone.

I'm ok with the decision not to offer any of the trialists a deal. Deane was the only one that I think couod have added something to the squad but I'm going to trust Dougies judgement and assume he has other targets.
Don't understand some of the outrage on twitter and pnb because we haven't signed Deane. Dougie has a very good record with signings.
Well Deane showed more in 2 half-games than Ali Crawford did the whole loan spell. I trust Dougie and will see who he brings in but think its an opportunity missed

Can I ask why we have such a limited budget for players when the club made a significant profit last year and we are debt free.
I keep hearing if the budget allows surely we can't be that skint after a profitable season last year.
You cannot rely on playing an OF team away every season so I'd be hoping we didn't just throw all our profit at the squad.

We have scored one goal in 6 games. Alarming, now need to be worried about the other playoffs. I'm sure we can put a run together like l the end of last season but we need to start scoring goals asap.
