I don’t see the link though. If we were plunging huge sums of cash into the Community side then fine, but we’re not. And it’s not as if Rae or our chief exec are having to run it - it’s basically a separate entity. How would binning it leave us in any better a position?

Christ. How anyone can look at community engagement (funded by money we wouldn’t otherwise get anyway) is mental to me. I completely agree it shouldn’t be the club’s main focus, but it has a place here. A lot of the criticism of something that’s offering a lot of good services, and promoting the Morton name is completely undeserved imo. Its becoming a weird scapegoat for us being absolute shite, when it’s a separate issue.

You can take issue with how it’s structured, distributed etc but I don’t really see how you could say the guy has anything other than good intentions. He’d have literally nothing to gain.

Aye, pretty much. The guy is trying to do a good thing here and give us at least some influence in what goes on at Cappielow. Is it perfect? No. Does stuff need ironed out still? Absolutely. It’s ambitious, but it’s still in its infancy. It’d be good to see the majority of the support behind it.
