I always liked the look of McGill, and seems the type of forward Dougie likes, industrous with a physical presence. Surprised he doesn't have a club tbh, maybe suggests he was looking for something back down south

Are you at the wind up?
The police couldn't catch him for trafficking until this morning, but you think Dale Colombo is going to solve the case at the start of August by asking "Kidderminster Harriers" for a character reference?

This is a huge issue for the club in many ways. They can’t sack him, as he is innocent until proved guilty. The most that can be done is suspend him on full pay until the trial. That does not free up money for a replacement.
We are supposedly a community club, so I think we should sack him and take any hit for an employment tribunal on the chin. How will sponsors react to this news? Companies don’t always subscribe to the “innocent until proved guilty” mantra, and we may find that sponsors will move to distance themselves from the club. Nobody wants to be associated with drugs at any level. This is not just dealing that is alleged, this is importation which carries a sentence of imprisonment even for a first offender. Another reason why we should sack him today.
How did we come to sign this player? Are no background checks done before we employ people? Whoever sanctioned the signing should be under scrutiny.
We need swift action from the board. How is the board supposed to know if potential signings are involved in drug trafficking?
Do you think the vetting process involves calling up MI5 for a background check?

Who hasn't tried to import 600,000lbs of super strength skunk at least once in their life? Boys will be boys. Slap on the wrists and back in the team by Ayr imo.

You can argue the fairness of that either way but the wee boy I know was absolutely gutted. Massive Morton fan who gets bought all the club strips and merchandise etc who absolutely loved his role and is now disenfranchised from the club. Losing loyal and valuable office staff, kit men and now ball boys since the arrival of Dale. Funny that.
he was a media guy at his previous clubs and was brought in to do general manager duties with no experience in working in a football department yet he couldn’t get his hands on doing player negotiations/recruitment and fluffing his CV quick enough while we go in to the first game of another season with the matchday experience a shambles again.
Do your actual job Dale.
A goalie coach and now a fucking ballboy?
You don't half go on tear stained crusades on some utterly irrelevant shite.

That was just a reverse of the first half. This time Hamilton being the team unable to take advantage of a shite opponent giving up a barrowload of chances.
Where are the goals going to come from in this side?
-
Well on top despite not doing much tbh, Hamilton are jobby. Need to stop squandering chances.

Only last season my intention was to invest in MCT when my own financial circumstances improved but since then it's been a string of broken promises and mixed messages coming out the club along with our promising team being ripped apart. I've never thought fan ownership was the answer for us but was happy to be proved wrong....maybe I still will be but I doubt it. We sadly seem to be reverting to being a rudderless shop once again.
You did say a very similar thing 3 years ago.
I think its fair to say fan ownership has done a solid job for us thus far. I certainly feel we are a lot more stable as a club and we're clearly in a much more healthy position financially. Its not been a downward trajectory. Feel there is a bit of an overreaction going on from Morton fans all in all off the back of a poor start to the season. Don't think there's any need for people to be at panic stations now.

Sadly we'll never know in the near future anyway. I can only see a downward trajectory now, sadly after initial optimism.
You've been saying that since the very start of fan ownership. 3 years on and still no downward trajectory.

Emmanuel-Thomas presumably would have played at Livi whilst Imrie was a coach there. He was good at Livi tbf, but his career's fairly nosedived since. Shite at Aberdeen, season in India, and just come off a spell of 9 games, 0 goals for Kidderminster Harriers as they were relegated from the Conference.

Alan Trouten ffs. The cunts about 40

Hahahaha, I'm not kicking up a fuss man! Fucksakes.
I only mentioned I could see why she might be annoyed. Which in fact has since been corrected by the club statement today.
Catch a fucking grip.
Literally specified I was talking about his mum and gimps on twitter and you still managed to take it personally

I'm guessing it's because O'Conner's departure was announced by the club with the usual platitudes, whereas Lewis' wasn't. Maybe as TRVMP suggests there's a reason for that. She's just being a protective maw, and I suspect Lewis himself would prefer if she didn't make posts like that.
You are a certified ambulance chaser if you're kicking up a fuss about some club posting empty, meaningless platitudes on twitter. She, and the rest of the gimps crying on Twitter need to grow up.

Knicker wetting about a goalie coach might be a new low for this forum.

15 goals in the past 6 seasons at National League South level doesn't inspire much confidence.
For reference Gozie Ugwu had 13 in 24 games the season before he joined Raith in the league ABOVE.

So what is?
One of Southgate's coaches insulted him in a team meeting.

Aye, cracking player deservedly held in disdain for disrespecting the club regardless of his reasons.
It's rare but it happens - good at it but don't really like it, see it as a job. Fans don't understand it because they see a career in football as a dream and what's not to love?
Ben White of Arsenal getting a lot of flack for that at the moment because he told England he can't be arsed with a call up. Just wants to do his job, go home, not do overtime.
That's not at all why Ben White refuses an England call up.
The Bachirou hate on this forum has always been perverse. People choosing to believe a rumour that someone pulled out their arse.

Happy with that. A known quantity at this level. Important that we keep a solid core of last seasons team and not require a complete rebuild in the summer.

Even during this game you can see what an unscrupulous, moaning, cheating scumbag he is. Shame it wasn't him that missed the final penalty.
Need to see St Johnstone/Ross County do a job on Raith now.

If that screenshot is real then it’s pretty embarrassing - for Strapp, the club & whoever his mate is that shared it.

Morton v Airdrie Match Thread

Probably our most promising performance of the season.
Lyal was outstanding, Ali Crawford isn't the passenger he was 18 months, McGinn still got the touch and intelligence of a top player. Reynolds could be alright if he gets some confidence.
Tbh I wasn't 100% comfortable til the 2nd went in. Really need to improve our ability to put a game to bed when we're on top. A better team than Airdrie would have made that a tight ending for the last 20.
