    Our motm. Terrible take.

What because he scored a goal, he doesn't work in this system without Oakley as evidenced by 1 win in 10 games since he got injured and the 1 game we won Oakley was back.

Scoring a goal from a break in the box doesn't make you motm infact picking out any morton player as  our MOTM tonight is the real terrible take.

  2. We've went from having the opportunity to over take partick for 3rd place last week to being 9 points behind them and looking over our shoulders at inverness in 9th.

It looks like this shape and tactic has been sussed out by most of the division even with Oakley returning this afternoon, Dougie needs to look at other options now.

I would be dropping Muirhead next weekend and go with 2 natural wingers on either side of Oakley, robbie has ran himself into the ground over the last couple of weeks with not much reward.

I think we are now back to the bottom of the form table over the last 6 games which is really concerning, we need a victory fast.

Behave: when Oakley's fit we'll be fine. It was less than a month ago that the consensus (wrongly) was to hand out new contracts all round to reward our unbeaten run - we can't have it both ways.

That said, any experiment of Tyler French dictating possession from central midfield needs to be launched into the sea with no follow-up investigation.

So we are placing our entire season on 1 guy?  What happens if he get injured again what's the plan b?

Because the last 5 games including today is relegation form with Dougie placing such little faith in his attacking options that he would prefer to play arguablly our worst defender in terms of ball distribution and general control in French in CM so that Crawford can play higher up the park.

  4. Once again we don't look like scoring even if we played until the dunfermline game.

I'm really surprised by imries selections here, if he went the same shape and personel as Monday night then fair enough but moving French into CM is a head scratcher and it's clearly not working.

Hoping that he makes use of the 3 attacking players he has on the bench get some width on the park and attack this fragile partick defence that haven't kept a clean sheet in 8 games.  We cant be going 5 games without a goal.

  5. I know we have some games in hand but that league table is looking increasingly worrying for us and ICT with Ayr winning today.

It may still be classed as early in the season but being 6 points adrift of automatic safety already is really concerning.

Next week is absolutely massive for us.

  6. MCT money being used well - paying off Van Shaik and converting Blues' deal to a permanent one. Ooft. Shouldn't be a single direct debit still active after that.

Has this been confirmed anywhere yet? I really hope this is not the case as he has already proven to be out of his depth in the Championship.

Hardly surprising given his stellar showing in League 2.

  7. Anyone mind the last time that we signed a bunch of cheap ringers in the summer, only to try and make good the damage later in the season by rummaging around the rejects' bin mid-season for replacements?

The agreement between MCT and the club is already in place and payments have been taken. The most effective use of those funds involves the club acting now; I'm not demanding that we sign players tomorrow, but any additions should be made before this transfer window closes. Sitting on our hands for a few months and only diving into the notoriously bad January market is a recipe for disaster.

yeah i would rather we acted in this window too, i probably didnt explain myself clearly.

Its just i feel as though people are already questioning the agreement and expecting it to fail before the club have really had a chance to explore its options on what players are available, i hope we do out due diligence on the next player(s) we sign so that we have not ended up wasting the extra money.

  8. The first payment was only made late last week, lets just see what happens for the remainder of this transfer window and perhaps more importantly the January transfer window (Once pledges have been continually made) before talk of wheels falling off or people cancelling direct debits.

I think the support will need to exercise a little of bit of patience which admittedly is already running thin after Saturday,

  9. I dont see the board taking a punt on signing players in this window. If they're really serious about breaking even they'll wait to see if the direct debits remain steady, at least until January.

We've got the league cup prize money already secured. Hopefully that will pay for a decent goalkeeper

With a "decent" goalkeeper we would still have lost 3 probably all 4 goals on Saturday.

An Injury free CB (Sorry Peter Grant) a LB and a first choice RB is higher up the priority list in my opinion.
