  1. The passive aggressive nature of the quotation marks around that section probably putting in the hardest shift of the night there.
  2. That's both the Motherwell game and tonight that we fannies from that section have been throwing things at morton fans at the front of the Cowshed as well. It's a shame as that section have put in such an amazing effort to make cappielow a better experience for all Morton fans and are being let down by some idiots during the big nights at cappielow.
  3. Heard a stat earlier that we've had 80+ bookingsin the championship this season and second highest is Queens park with 50 something. That surely can't be true Although in saying that It feels like we get the same 3 or 4 players booked almost every game.
  4. Noticed that Mullen had Baird (I think) take a goal kick for him right at the end on Saturday. Was hoping it was just time wasting tactics but perhaps more to it. Real shame as he has been immense and major reason towards our great form.
  5. Andy Millens boy told her can leave raith in summer after falling out with manager. Wonder if we will see him as our new rightback next season.
  6. Don't think you can ignore Muirhead if he gets close to 20 goals this season and he's already on 14. Oakley been immense as well past couple of months as has Mullen. Could genuinely name most of the squad and I wouldn't argue. Wilson just edges them all for me at this point though. Been brilliant in multiple positions for us through the bad times and the good.
  7. It's a later kick off than the Friday night game. I imagine the amount of supporters who finish early on Fridays pales in comparison to the amount of fans who work weekends etc so everyone who made the last one should still be able to make it fine. I imagine it may affect the heart fans slightly however I was told they took about 5k to airdrie which we cannot fit in so we only need a portion of that to make it to fill the away attendance.
  8. I'm sure the BBC have their reasons for that whatever they may be. Would much rather both of them but not exactly raging at it. Cappielow under the lights was all I wanted and you can't convince me that there still won't be loads of people making a night of it on the Monday.
  9. Give me Monday night over any of those time slots any day of the week (especially Monday)
  10. Hopefully the money gained from that win will allow us to get another couple of contract renewals done before the end of the season. Downside of a good cup run is that alongside our great for we are finally starting to get noticed for how decent some of our players are so wouldn't be surprised if a few moved on to bigger things in the summer.
  11. Kettlewell very complimentary of Morton and Imrie in his pre match interview on the Motherwell YouTube channel.
  12. It might not be the same now but in the Dougie era I remember being around the stadium one match one day for some reason and it came up that the club had to buy kits for the mascots at full price from Smiths like any other customer.
  13. Blues plays whatever position he's asked to the best of his ability and rarely if ever let's the team down. Every squad needs a player like him that the manager knows he can rely on and will follow his tactical instructions. I do think there have been a couple of times over the years when he's been off his form that a week or two out the team would help him but I can always see why Imrie keeps him in the team. I'm a massive fan and become a bigger fan every year he's been at Morton.
  14. Yeah I thought we missed Broadfoots composure and line breaking passes at times too. I thought French was really poor especially in the first half with him being quite weak and constantly caught under the ball putting himself in trouble. I'm still yet to see this lightning speed we were promised too. He improved in the second half when Arbroath were tired and there was space for him to play balls down the channels. You can't argue with our defensive record in recent weeks but I'd still like to see O'Connor out there as I think he's better defensively, in aeriel battles and even offensively.
  15. Bit of a training game in the end and we picked up after we scored the second but the whole performance and atmosphere was a bit flat all round. More than happy to win games like that 3-0 though so well done to the players. Game was crying out for some width and directness from the moment they went down to 10 men. We played right in to their hands until the garrity change. Felt a bit sorry for blues being expected to be the creativity on the left at a time when his skillset wasn't needed out there. He was much better when he moved centrally.
  16. I didn't think there was much difference between strapp and waters by the time strapp got injured and was happy enough with waters as a replacement. Strapp seems to have got fitter during his injury period and his confidence is high and he's been brilliant since he came back. You notice how much we miss his long throw when he's not there as well as defences just never get a seconds peace against us as they are constantly defending their box. It's been a great January so far for the club.
  17. You can't argue with the defensive performance of the team of the past couple of months but I agree that he's been the least consistent part of the defence in that period. Dundee fans said he was absolutely rapid but I've not really seen evidence of that so far. To be fair he has had a bad injury though and didn't play a game until he came to us so even though he may be up to match fitness now he might not be back to his best form yet.
  18. French staying at Morton according to Dundee twitter account.
  19. Tele saying strapp might stay and that we are looking down south for signings if we can get some fringe players out the door. You'd imagine we'd be trying to get at least one of the wind players out on loan. Boyd and Bearne the likely candidates but if it's mcgrattan then I riot.
  20. I see in Mullen's interview that he's full of praise for the goalie coach Davie. Unless I've got my time mixed up then his three keepers in his time would be Hamilton, Schwake and Mullen (Macdonald too but he's a no brainer in terms of quality) and all have spoken very highly about him during their time at the club. Considering one of them was the laughing stock of Scottish goalkeepers with his confidence and career trajectory at an all time low and the other two were young players with barely any professional football nevermind full time football under their belts then he really has done a fine job. I've been a massive fan of Mullen since the league Cup games and for me I'd say he's been the best of the lot, so I'm delighted he's been signed up.
  21. I was gutted when Gozie left and we missed someone with his physical presence that following season until the January when gorgeous arrived. He's a massive upgrade on Gozie for me. He's a brilliant focal point for the team, a nightmare for defenders in the air and brilliant at pressing from the front, has a decent amount of pace and is almost deceptively very good with his feet. If he was more prolific in front of goal then he'd have four Ballon D'ors by now.
  22. Weird how we couldn't afford him yet he's now signed for a team that's had to release basically all their players cause they can't afford them. We would be top of the league by 10 points if we'd kept him.
  23. The squad is amazingly looking too bloated now after a season of injuries. We could lose French, Strapp and potentially Wilson this month if QOS have a call back clause which would make defensive reinforcements the priority however I can't help feel that a back up to Oakley is our most key addition this month if possible as we look a completely different attacking threat without him.
  24. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-championship/top-scorers Robbie now up to joint 4th in the top league scorers. Interestingly enough there's 24 players listed under the scorers tab and another 24 players listed under the assists tab and Muirhead is the only Morton player on either list, yet every week you hear the same fannies giving him pelters from the crowd or comments online saying he's lazy etc. Thankfully it's becoming less and less but even in first 10 mins yesterday you had the odd fan shouting abuse at him from the Cowshed when the crowd is quiet. We would be absolutely lost without him and he's going to have one of the greatest highlight reels of goals from a Morton player by the time he leaves us.
