  1. Your opinion on it is different to mine. I'm not bothered by that either.
  2. He missed 2 cup wins and then left before the league started. We got a decent enough fee, won the league, and he obviously made a good move for himself. He forced the move, but it reached a conclusion in decent time. Sometimes players do that. Sometimes managers try to force players out they don't want. It's often not pretty, but I'm not going to hold a grudge over it. It's not even as if he made a big public fuss about it or bad mouthed the club or anything. I'm not remotely bothered by it.
  3. He helped us to a second place finish after coming back. It was hardly some big favour. We were relegated, he wanted to move, we got £20k, then we won the league and he went on to be successful at another club. He forced the move, so what? I'm not quite sure what the big deal is here.
  4. No complaints about his contribution. His early form was an important factor in our league win. Archie's Campbell's form was also an important factor in our run in 12/13. Both players have probably been shown in the long run to be fairly limited players with enough ability to have good spells of form, but lacking in the basics in their game to be consistent performers. Caldwell made such a good first impression that I think we all assumed that his later dip was the exception rather than the purple patch, but I'm really not so sure.
  5. I thought Caldwell started well for us but faded pretty quickly. In the end we were better without him in the team. I think his early form gave a false impression of the all-round ability he actually had.
  6. Fred assist had just helped put Oestersunds 1-0 up against Galatasary in the Europa League.
  7. Quitongo did the right thing. Dodged a bullet by avoiding signing whatever dodgy contract that Mike Peden would have put in front of him. We were in an absolute state, and shouldn't have been expecting favours from a player just because we gave him a trial. Wasn't so happy about him booting a ball at the fans away at Alloa, mind you.
  8. Yeah, looking at last year it looks like he should be eligible to play. The SSC email I got the other day said Scotland would take an u20 squad - I guess it's got to do with their self imposed younger player policy going on at the moment.
  9. Whatever else might be the case, is he not too old? I'm a bit surprised that Nesbitt has been called up.
  10. I don't particularly hold anything against either of them for joining Raith. The more important issue is whether either of them actually have any end product at this level. I'm not sure that they do.
  11. If I remember rightly he claims that he played enough games to trigger another year's contract, but was released instead.
  12. Managers hardly ever turn down the bigger job though. In this case it's the guarantee of top flight management, a club that has fairly recently qualified for Europe, and a job which would at least double his salary. I don't see clubs lining up to take Duffy from us, even if he took us up, so I'd be surprised if he didn't take the opportunity if it was there to take.
  13. Falkirk's website has the same, so that could be right.
  14. From what I can find, Falkirk's is a yard wider but the same length as Cappielow. Hampden is 5 yards longer and 3 wider than at Falkirk. I'm just going by the football ground guide.
  15. Colin Stewart was a technically good goalkeeper who won player of the year awards with us. Problem was, once those mistakes started, they just wouldn't stop. That Ross County goal summed him up, the world class save moments before it was glorious. Sublime to ridiculous was Stewart. His error for Thistle against us was anther glorious moment!
  16. Alex Samuel scored tonight in the much-loved revamped EFL trophy.
  17. I'm sorry, but I don't agree with that at all. He had a fine game against Livingston, for example, playing central midfield - and that one was his third last match before getting injured. Moore adjusted his role in midfield slightly, in large part, because McKee got injured, but I don't think it had a massive impact on his performances. He looked like an inconsistent 19 year old with a cracking shot and a good deal of potential. But let's be clear, one of his best games for us was one of his final games he played under Moore. And after that point he picked up the injury which essentially took away three years of his career. It was clear that he was never fit again for us after his injury. While I was never a big fan of Moore, I don't think we can credit him with what happened to Hands.
  18. In fairness to Moore, Hands always looked a good player under him. He then got injured. Duffy and Shiels messed about with his position but I don't think he ever really regained his fitness in the rest of his time with us.
  19. We'll miss Stef McCluskey in the same way that we missed Kevin Finlayson after he left.
  20. This. He seemed like a player who was getting clubs based on a reputation he built pre-injury. There wasn't much of a player left when he came to us.
  21. He has a great spell of 8 games for us when he scored 11 goals. Outside of that he wasn't very good at all - lost without a partner like Weatherson to off play.
  22. Craig Little too. Played in the cup against Motherwell. It didn't go well.
  23. He couldn't pick what wasn't there. It wasn't his fault if none of them were good enough.
  24. McGuffie actually had a really decent spell for us at right back in the final months of his contact when playing under Grady. Must've been Grady who got the best out of him.
  25. First time he's done that this season though. I don't think scoring a good goal every few months qualifies you as a striker.
