Part time may have been a better phrase, rather than amateur. The fact remains that these guys are not full time footballers and as such should not be able to compete against a full time squad. This was more a dig at us rather than Ayr, how can we not be up for midweek games better than guys who have put in a days shift at work.

 

We are underachieving with the wage bill, player experience etc.

Oops, forgot abut him actually!! I think if we played 4-4-2 it would really come down to a choice between Jim and Finlayson, even just until we get the defence and midfield tightened up, and then worry about being a bit more adventurous. I would go for Jim, personally.

the main problem for me in the midfield boing a man down, is Mr MCLAREN.

 

great player on the ball, but off it(defending he is none exsiting). he plays the free role but he still needs to track back and help.

An apt way to describe Paul Walker but Mclaren's work rate's second to none, he wins his fair share in the air and is also no slouch in the tackle.

amzing how people see games differently. Mclaren was wasted in the first half of the Ayr game, once we changed his role he became useful. so i would say not drivel.
