Am I missing something? It seemed like a massive red flag. The Kinnear signing was another one that rung alarm bells (I said at the time I thought he might at least start in the League Cup). There are others as well. I have so many questions and Murray is doing and saying nothing to alleviate my concerns. We've thrown away the League Cup campaign (and any money which comes along with that) because, for whatever reason, we've failed to put together the core of a competent squad in a timely manner.

Which also makes it much harder to have any sympathy for Murray complaining about the budget. Yes, it's undoubtedly the smallest full-time budget in the division, but it's still obviously better than Stenhousemuir, Linlithgow and East Fife. Putting it nicely there. We’ve assembled a squad of Zak McKay’s and Lamar Reynolds’ and we’re already hearing any further additions will likely be loans. On top of that, the man in charge will only shrug his shoulders and ask what more we expected, describing a 1-0 defeat to Linlithgow Rose without a single shot on target as an “average performance”. HamCam Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Remember after the Airdrie game Murray promised the fans things would get better this season? I am not sure what he meant by better as the league season has not even started and I sense most fans have already chucked it. If the Estrella deal does not happen I fear we are on a slippery slope. Even if it costs us Murray has to go.

Realistically we're probably stuck with an internal appointment when he goes as well which won't be popular, but rolling the dice on whichever of Gary Miller or a senior player is next in line while the window is open is still an obviously less bad option than the 0 points from 36 games he has us heading for.
