Mr.Blue Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Looking forward to this one tomorrow and hopefully a win to get us back on track. Another 6 pointer. Murray saying that Moore and Lyall are back in the squad which is positive. Johnston Ballantyne Owens Moore Delaney Shug Gillespie McPherson Moffat Main Garrity Subs- Murdoch, Comrie, White, Lyall, Crawford, Taylor, O'Halloran, Murphy, Shaw. Id like to see Owens get a start and Moore to come in if he's fully fit. White has been ok but I'm not completely convinced that he's able to cope with the physicality week in week out. Get Shug back into midfield too. 2-1 Ton. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come
vikingTON Posted February 27 Posted February 27 A draw would be absolutely fine for us, but given Airdrie played midweek, I'd like to see us take advantage of that to get a win. Airdrie were unfortunate to lose against St Johnstone a fortnight ago, so there are threats we need to deal with. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
Cet Homme Charmant Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Wouldn't quite put this in the 'must win' category, but a defeat would have us looking over our shoulder again. Difficult one to call, so I'll bottle it and go for 1-1.
dunning1874 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I'd say this is must not lose rather than must win, but there's a pretty nasty run of fixtures coming up after this as well. It would be good to get the win and surely put worries of Airdrie catching us to bed; losing a 10 point lead with 9 games to go would take an awful collapse. But it’s such a small sample size and White has been good too, so I’m not complaining if either start.
dunning1874 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I'd have thought conceding three last week would be the impetus to get Wilson back into midfield with Owens or Moore beside Lopata-White, but Murray's done enough so far to trust that he knows what he's doing. I'm 50/50 with Wilson being back in midfield. He's hardly put a foot wrong in defence and adds a lot of composure on the ball and brings it out of defence well. He also wasn't at his best in the middle earlier in the season but obviously when he's on form there's not many better than him. My worry would be neither White or Owens is as good on the ball and bringing it out of defence so we'd strengthen the midfield and be OK defensively but weaken the team overall.
AyrshireTon Posted February 28 Posted February 28 FFS Cammy. Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.

Brian Skelton Posted February 28 Posted February 28 O'Halloran off Lyall on after 13th minute must be an injury Lyall back off to accommodate Comrie Big B
Ferguson Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Not at the game, but consensus seems to be that the red card was a poor decision. Feel as though I’m hearing about a Grant Irvine howler every weekend regardless of who he’s refereeing.
