Actually looking forward to this one. Feel like it's been forever since I have been to Cappielow due to work or being ill!

Few changes from Saturdays lineup?

Feels a pretty big game in terms of what play offs we will be focusing on this season. Win and we can focus up the way. Lose and we go 5 behind Dunfermline who will also have 2 games in hand and Queens Park away becomes massive on Saturday.

Would expect a few changes tonight to freshen things up, would ideally like to see O'Halloran come back in if fit.

Johnson

Ballantyne Wilson Owens/Reuben Delaney

Gillespie McPherson

Moffat Lyall O'Halloran

Brophy/Main

IMO if O'Halloran plays, it needs to be central in behind a striker/strikers. He's been largely ineffective for me in a wide role, but played really well in the game against Ross County.

If Kris Moore/Jackson Longridge are still unfit, I'd prefer seeing Owens in alongside Rueben, to allow Wilson back into the middle of the park.

Also, only one of Brophy and Main should be starting, that didn't work at all on Saturday.

Quite why we shouldn't play Brophy and Main, yet can shoehorn O'Halloran into the team instead is a mystery. It's much more logical to ditch the latter in order to provide a shape that suits a front two partnership instead.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

I'd go with Wilson into midfield and Owens in at centre back. Wilson has been great filling in there but we all know he's at his best in midfield. Even if Gillespie is sharp enough to start you surely aren't getting another full 90 minutes out of him, and you need to have one of those two there at all times if you don't want to leave the defence badly exposed.

Murray's explanation for persisting with Wilson in defence on Saturday made perfect sense with what he said about introducing two new centre backs to the defence at once, but with how well Lopata-White did on Saturday and how good Owens was coming on v Ross County I'd be comfortable with the two of them together. Would hope to see one of O'Halloran or Lyall replacing one of Main or Brophy as well as we surrended a bit much of the midfield for no discernible benefit at times on Saturday, but not too concerned which in either case. Could even put Crawford in if the former two are still absent, but don't know if he's ready for that after so long injured.

That's a sitter of the century contender from Main, outstanding from Garrity and especially Delaney to give him the tap in as well.

Don't think Gillespie has ever hit a penalty off target before. Shame, we've been worth a comfortable lead.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

An important and well deserved win, by a scoreline that flattered Dunfermline. That was fun. Murray has these shitebags playing good football, something that was almost inconceivable during the Technical Head Coach era. Mon the fucking Ton!

The back 4 were all tremendous and any of them could have been MotM. Really good.

The rest of the team could have done a better job managing a 2 goal lead against 10 men than that but overall we were good and well worth it.

Really good performance for most of the the game. Slightly frustrating how we played after going 2-0 by inviting Dunfermline to control the game, but happy to write that off to fatigue.

Wilson and Lopata-White have had an excellent start as a CB duo. More than happy for them to continue there even if Longridge or Moore are back. It's the best Wilson has played all season by far.

That first half was a superb and a joy to watch for the majority of it. Should have been 3-0 up minimum. Main has to score and you expect Gillespie to bury the penalty. Fully Deserved the 2nd goal as well albeit a sceptical penalty decision I thought from my view? Happy to be told otherwise. Anyway was nice to see decisions go in our favour for once.

Wilson MOTM for me. He has been excellent under Murray since moving there and I would actually struggle to move him away from that position for the time being. Whole back 4 were good in fact, much more like Ballantyne tonight too. Lopata-White settling in very nice as well.

Big opportunity the next 2 games. Let’s not Morton it.

Well deserved win albeit a nervy last 10 minutes when we were hemmed in. Thought we were excellent first half and should have been 3 up. Second half we could have scored another 2/3 by the time dunfermline came into it. Don't think there was a bad performance tonight. The back 4 were tremendous and I thought moffat put in a cracking shift. My only gripe is that we aren't taking the most of our chances and that Murray seems very reluctant to change the midfield 2 even though they were both knackered.

Wilson my MotM again although I'd have given it to the ref who was excellent for us👀.

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come
