Mr.Blue Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Been looking forward to this since no game last week and hopeful that Murray has been able to take advantage of the break by bedding in the new players and hammering home his ideas and tactics even moreso. Any danger of this one being off? Few amateur games and grass parks off this morning already because of the frost. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come
Jack Bauer Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Cant see it being off. Tough game. Hopefully Dougie gets a decent reception. Power To The Powerless, Strength Unto The Weak!
Stevie Aitken's Love Child Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Cars were frozen solid down my way but the sun being out the last hour has definitely helped. That main stand side will be the issue as always, wouldn't be at all surprised if this one doesn't make it.
RossMcC1874 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Could do with this one being played rather than a re arrangement, however on a selfish point of view I can't make it so don't mind if it is off.
Hands of Cowan Posted February 14 Posted February 14 SPFL website shows only Dunfermline and Dumbarton games have arranged inspections currently.

IanClinging Posted February 14 Posted February 14 (edited) Just the usual "Matchday" post from Morton's social media feeds about 40 minutes ago, which suggests the game's on with no inspection. Edited February 14 by IanClinging Typeo
Stevie Aitken's Love Child Posted February 14 Posted February 14 (edited) Surprised that Lopata-White is straight into the team over Owens who performed really well in the Ross County game. Interesting to see how we line up, as that looks a pretty traditional 442 to me, unless it's Brophy in the number 10 in place of O'Halloran. Edited February 14 by Stevie Aitken's Love Child
RossMcC1874 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 (edited) Good to see the new boys making their debut but worry defensively with that lineup. Taylor back after a long spell out is good. No Longridge or Moore is a blow. Edited February 14 by RossMcC1874
Greacen2000 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I’m a wee bit concerned about our defence here. Assuming shugs filling in at CB blues is going to need to put in some shift if our midfield isn’t going to be overrun. On the flip side it’s a very attacking lineup and good to see the new boys getting a start.
Popular Post Greacen2000 Posted February 14 Popular Post Posted February 14 Ref was absolutely dreadful. Allowed Raith to get away with persistent fouling and gave us nothing the entire game. On the balance of play it feels like we should have won that but you can’t win games without scoring and we didn’t really give their keeper much to do. Lopota-white had a good game and looks like he will be a solid signing. Imrie took a bit of abuse from the shed when things were getting heated near the end so I though it was a touch of class that he still came over to applaud the Morton fans with his hand on heart after the match. 4
Pedrodelawasp Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I see Blues had to go off early. Did he take a knock?
cappieton_1874 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Jon Connolly clearly hitting up every hot bed shop in Kircaldy since his departure from us. Embarrassment of a coach - maybe some bad blood. Looked like Imrie had a go at someone on our bench at FT also. D.A.C

Don’t think Dougie was involved in any of it? Millen booked aswell I think. 1
Popular Post DaftTon74 Posted February 14 Popular Post Posted February 14 Jon Connelly is a bellend. 5
DumfriesTon Posted February 14 Posted February 14 No surprise to see Jon Connolly in the thick of it. Trying to stay relevant. Better off without people like that at the club. Raith were terrible and offered absolutely nothing but neither did we really. Lots of crosses and corners but don’t think we won one all day. Lopata-White grew into the game and overall was OK. Looks good at 1 v 1 defending. The full backs were excellent - Ballantyne particularly who is light years ahead of Comrie both defensively and attacking. Ridiculous he was dropped for so much of this year. Think we really missed Blues in the middle. McPherson and Gillespie were largely 2nd to most balls today.
Cet Homme Charmant Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I see the club has issued a statement about an 'abhorrent' post aimed at Dougie made on X. Disappointing if true.
Mr.Blue Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 A draw a fair result as can't remember many clear cut chances. Both defences on top although not being able to beat the first man with our crosses helped Raith. Second half got quite feisty on and off the pitch which was needed as the first half was fairly flat. I thought white looked a little shaky initially but grew into the game. Losing blues early on was a blow. We didn't get moffat on the ball enough for him to run at their fullbacks. Main was frustrating as he didn't win many headers despite his size and he also seemed intent on laying balls off rather than shooting. I thought Delaney was excellent again today as was Ballantyne. Gillespie my MotM as he was everywhere. Referee was an absolute prick. I thought we should have had a penalty in the second half so looking forward to seeing the highlights. Don't think Dougie deserved the negativity but good to see him coming over to the shed at the end albeit getting a mixed reception. Onto Tuesday night and another tough but winnable game.
