Starting lineup will be very different compared to the Stirling Albion game, Davies mentioning no major doubts in terms of availability so should have most players fit.

Need to win this one, I dont think Airdrie will be as bad as QP.

Go for 2-0 Tomi and Blues with the goals.

Airdrie's record over the last 6 league games is almost identical to ours with 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats, and all the same scorelines other than their defeat to St Johnstone being 3-0 rather than 4. That's also the 6 games Taylor-Sinclair has been in charge for.

However when you then bring cup games and the timing of Imrie leaving into it, it's hard not to feel that they're a team who've turned the corner while we're looking poorer for being managerless. Win this and we should be able to stop worrying about the bottom two, but we'll need to turn up for 90 minutes rather than only being any good in the second half.

I have a bad feeling we will lose and at least one ex player will score, it seems that kind of day/week.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Security officer not allowing handheld scanners and forcing people to stand in the rain.

I'm sure the CEO will be along shortly to crack the whip.

That was an absolute joke - ended up leaving after 10 minutes because the wee man was soaked to his skin after standing in the lashing rain for 30 mins.

Sure, the club can’t be blamed for the weather and didn’t cause the technical issue but it should have been handled so much better.  When the SLO showed up I was expecting him to maybe address the crowd and give an update but that didn’t happen.  Plan b with handheld scanners & opening the old turnstiles should be ready to go whenever needed.  There’s no excuse for leaving thousands of people standing out in the rain like that.  Even when they eventually opened the gate it looked more like it was a result of some people rushing them rather than a decision that the club/stewards made.

Felt a bit for the SLO - voluntary role being expected to deal with it all. He did say they started using scanners but the security officer told them to stop though.

Really no reason why the scanners were needed. Tickets had already been bought, people weren’t standing in the rain just for the sake of it, an absolute joke.

Fair enough - I get that it’s voluntary and appreciate him giving his time to the club.  I certainly don’t hold him in any way responsible for this shitshow.  I just mentioned it because when a big crowd have been waiting in the cold wind & rain for 30 mins and a guy with “SLO” emblazoned on his jacket shows up, it is reasonable for people to expect some sort of communication to be forthcoming.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'
