I see that Partick Thistle have an umbro early 80s kit on sale.

It would be great if Morton could do the same- i think it could be a better seller than our current retro strips.

Slightly off topic but I was on website the other day and had a look at player shirt sponsorship. Hardly any players have a sponsor this year. Perhaps down the current financial climate but apart from run of the mill statement at the bottom of the press release when a player signs I haven't seen a push for this at all. Apart from not maximising income on the commercial front it also looks incredibly tin pot from the outside looking in.

I wonder if the lack of a matchday programme where the sponsors would be named under the photos of the players is a factor?

Plus, how many of us actually visit the official website?

For Morton related content eg interviews i click on the X link that takes me to YouTube , totally bypassing the website

Myself and a few mates usually sponsor a few players each but sent numerous emails in June/July regarding player sponsorship, match ball etc and still waiting on a reply, its not hard to reply to emails just lazy and they can't be bothered when it comes to the end of the season they should be trying and get you to renew the player sponsorship for the following season even a quick call to check to see if your interested in another player if he leaves and then will he has you on the phone try and get them to hospitality 🤷‍♂️

It's lazy and just downright incompetent. Maximising income while involving and engaging with fans should be made a priority and it's not even an afterthought.

Wow that is absolutely shocking

There was an issue with them receiving emails (we’ve heard this one before) earlier in the season but we eventually got it ironed out for player sponsorship. It absolutely took longer than usual this season but it’s always been pretty easy in recent years, with the club invoice usually fired over rapid.

I had my dad’s long sleeve Umbro jersey a few years back. He asked me to sell it on eBay and it only made £25. Then he told me just to keep the money. Wish we’d just kept the jersey!
