George Anderson loved having players who left no prisoners and allowed our flair players to focus on what they were best - no surprises when I add I was a big fan of Bobby Thomson and Tommy Hutchison

Alex Williams and Peter Weatherson

Special mention to Emilio Bottilgeri, no idea if he was any good but I loved him!

My two memories of Mel were his screamer from the wing against Gretna and seeing him getting absolutely stuck into the post-match sandwiches in the Keith social club in the Highland Tour.

Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.

Peter Weatherson. Can remember him coming into St Gabriels when I was maybe p4/5. Also, can't miss Bambi, especially given its the anniversary of his swording of Killie.

Did he score a belter against Deveronvale as well?

Lief Nielson was another favorite of mine.

I always remember when growing up and having a kick about with my pals, when we had a game of "crossie in" etc we'd all pick a player to be as 10 year olds did at the time. All my pals were rushing to pick Pele or Eusebio.

I was always Joe Mason or when it was my turn to be in goal I was Lief.

Happy times.
