tom Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 Morris Stevenson at first. Then big Andy signed. Both great players, but Ritchie was the best.
ayrstorm Posted December 21, 2025 Posted December 21, 2025 George Anderson loved having players who left no prisoners and allowed our flair players to focus on what they were best - no surprises when I add I was a big fan of Bobby Thomson and Tommy Hutchison
Roger McQueen Posted December 21, 2025 Posted December 21, 2025 Joe McLaughlin was a great player and John McNeil.Â
Pedrodelawasp Posted December 21, 2025 Posted December 21, 2025 David Wylie and Derek McInnes are the standouts from my early memories of going to Morton games. Lindberg and Rajamaki soon after. 1
mcintyre_gmfc Posted January 3 Posted January 3 (edited) Alex Williams and Peter Weatherson Special mention to Emilio Bottilgeri, no idea if he was any good but I loved him! Edited January 3 by mcintyre_gmfc

He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.
so72 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 (edited) Peter Weatherson. Can remember him coming into St Gabriels when I was maybe p4/5. Also, can't miss Bambi, especially given its the anniversary of his swording of Killie. Edited January 6 by so72

Did he score a belter against Deveronvale as well?Â
The Bewilderedbeast Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Lief Nielson was another favorite of mine. I always remember when growing up and having a kick about with my pals, when we had a game of "crossie in" etc we'd all pick a player to be as 10 year olds did at the time. All my pals were rushing to pick Pele or Eusebio. I was always Joe Mason or when it was my turn to be in goal I was Lief. Happy times. 1
