RossMcC1874 Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 (edited) No real idea how this one will go. Queens park don't look great at all and we really should be aiming for all three points it will be tight and maybe only a goal in it either way. Good that a few of the players are back we should be going into this with confidence and go right at them from the start. 1-0 and Moffat with the goal. Edited December 4, 2025 by RossMcC1874
Greacen2000 Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 6 points needed from these next 2 home league games before we head in for a tough run of fixtures. Having Blues & Wilson back should make a big difference. Hopefully we put in a good performance and score a few, but any kind of win will do.

bob_the_builder Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 Been the better team so far but we need to capitalise on it. The drums are getting right on the commentators nerves, good here today, gone to hell
GiGi Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 Moffat's final ball has let us down all night and Garrity gets subbed while he stays on. Don't agree with that. Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'
Jani Inenuot Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 What a goal from O'Halloran! Thought we deserved to win that, didn't think it would take that kind of finish though. 1

Aye, strongly disagree with Billy Dodds’ opinion (unsurprisingly) that a draw was fair, imo we edged it and deserved the win. Magic goal to win it here today, gone to hell
RossMcC1874 Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 Well deserved three points. Queens park offered nothing and other than the goal didn't threaten us all night. We weren't brilliant in the final third the amount of times we were in good positions and just didn't have a final ball was criminal Moffat was the main culprit. Thought Adeloye was good and held the ball up well and took his penalty well, O'Halloran with a wonder finish no idea how he has managed to do that, also intersting he was put up top could be another option for us. Credit to the players aswell must have been a hard few weeks with what has gone but thats been two gritty performances and two wins take that all day long. Keep building momentum and on to the next one. 1
TopCat Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 Gary Miller head coach with Billy Davies as director of football looking likely now?

vikingTON Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 A thoroughly deserved win. While I was concerned from afar about last week's scoreline as being a drop-off from recent levels (most obviously at Ross County), the team's performance tonight was really good overall. We were aggressive in winning the ball, mostly forward thinking with our passes and played some really good (occssionally risky) balls in the first half. The final ball was hit and miss, but we played some really good and smart football to get into the final third. My only concern was that our defence lacked protection and had to do a bit too much when we lost the ball in the first half, but we still should have been in front by half time. QP got a spawny goal from a blocked shot, when we had at least 4-5 similar efforts in the game and didn't get the good fortune of a rebound. The second half was one-way traffic in attempts at goal, and the only disappointment for me was that we didn't keep the momentum going in the final 15 minutes of normal time. O'Halloran's worldy finish was fully deserved, but happened when the game seemed destined to fizzle out. 1 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. A spawny goal does not earn a draw by itself. DaftTon74 Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 (edited) Good performance but an even better and more important 3 points. Moffat is extremely frustrating. Causes lots of problems at times but his final ball is diabolical. I was perplexed he wasn’t hooked when Garrity and Adeloye made way, but what the hell do I know! Genius of a substitution and what a fecking goal! Win against airdrie next week and we are somehow looking upwards! Mon eh ton! *btw can we also ditch the goal song, utter pish* Edited December 6, 2025 by DaftTon74
